if your baby is having fever and not feeding, you need to take to the local hospital for further examination, symptoms you have described are because of the large size boil. Continue antibiotics and review with local pediatrician for drainage of any pus collections if present. Also give paracetamol syrup for fever and pain relief. What you have used is a 20% podophyllium in benzoin. Podophyllin strength to be used recommended is 0.5% or a diluted solution. It results in burn due death of the normal cells because podophyllin causes cell death. The sore that occurred you will nothing but a burn and you will have pain and sore as like normal thermal burn. If there is recurrent condition then better to obtain a consultation with a surgeon who can guide you the best. Do not feed from that particular side until the condition resolves.
