Have only syrup tusq-dx 1 tsp thrice a day after meals. If fever is there .then opt for antibiotic. Otherwise not. Do saline gargles twice a day.

I'm 34 year of male. I was prescribed azithromycin 250 mg twice a day for 3 days for throat infection. Which was extended by 2 days since I are yoghurt on the 3rd day along with my last dose on 3rd day. Now i'm on 5th day. I took the morning dose. Since last 2 days I had been getting chest pain, pain in back near scapula, nausea weakness. Is it okay to stop azithromycin? I'd be stopping and not taking the last evening dose.

My son 1 years 4 months had pus cells in throat and had been prescribed augmentin duo (4 ml twice daily) but got rashes and was given Azee (5 ml once daily) antibiotic. Bimistake I continued both antibiotics 3 doses. Instead of only Azee. Baby had loose stools. Now I have stopped augmentin and rashes have gone. Just wanted to know if any other side effect of two antibiotics would have happened. I am very worried. Please clarify.

Dear lybrate-user. Loose stools is a very common side effect of antibiotics. It's nothing to be worried about. You can give her mashed banana to get rid of it.

I have itching type pain not continue pain in neck (oral cavity) Left side from last One week and left ear pain from today. No difficulty in inhaling food no continue pain but sometime. Burning sensation in left side of neck and felling some warming. I take - 1. Tab. amoxyclav 625mg 3days BD 2. Tab. B-complex bd 3days 3 tab. Cetrizine bd 3days 4. Cap. Omej+ domperidone bd 3days But no relief then I consult A ENT doctor He examine mouth And said no problem he Prescribe- 1. Tab. AZEE (azithromycin) 500mg od 2. Tab ctz plus (cetrizine) bd 3. Tab nemuslide+paracetamol bd 4. Tab vitfol Od 5tab duralon-4 (methylprednisolone) Bd Additional I have betadine gargle bd With warm water Today I have take these medicine two days but yet no relief Please provide appropriate consult And advice it is serious matter And what I to do.

I will suggest you to take injection vitcofol 2cc intramuscularly every alternate days for five pricks and For pain take tablet paracetamol 650 mg as and when needed

Sir my rtpcr report attached. Ct value 21. Following medicine I am taking. Fever star date 23rd april friday (1 pm onwards. Today is 6th day. Symptoms - high fever in between 101 to 102.7 (even after taking dolo 650 not going down ). Oxygen level - 95 to 96. From today - there is loss of smell also. And in eyes I am feeling itching also. I am taking the below medicine from 24th april. 1) dolo 650 (three times ). 2) ivermectin - 12 mg (od ). 3) azithromycin - 500 mg - azee. (od ). 4) doxil - 100 mg - (od ). 5) monticope - (od ). 6) zincovit, limcee, b complex. Please advise if there is any changes in above medicine as today is 6th day and fever not coming down. Thanks & regards.

Hi. Currently there is no need to add anything. You might need to add steroids later if oxygen saturation drops. Lying in prone position (on your chest) is advised.
