Hyperpigmentation caused by acne is post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Some do have deep levels of pigmentation for which only glycolic acid does not work if its superficial then glycolic acid. So try more exfoliants like azelaic acid or retinoic acid meet your doctor for correct dose according to your skin.

U can use clindamycin gel on pimples but it will not help you for dark spots! for that you need azelaic acid 10 percent cream to be applied at night time only.
