1. What are the long term side effects of Statins. I read on multiple sites like Pubmed Citations, WebMD, Drugs.com and other journals that it can cause Muscle Pain (which I am going through now - left shoulder and arm). 2. Does it causes Hair Loss. I am losing hair and at pretty high speed. I am feeling burning scalp and hair loss both. I consulted dermatologists as well as hair specialists but nobody could resolve the issue (or find the cause). 3. I am taking atorlip f (10 mg atorvastatin+160 fenofibrate). It helped reduce my triglycerides to 89 from 399 within a month and total cholesterol from 210 to 164 within one month. My HDL is good and LDL is within range. 4. After the report I moved to 5 Mg atorlip (statin) it again brought back triglycerides to 299 and total cholesterol to 207. HDL fine, LDL high. One more thing I noticed is (Vitamin B12 very low, vitamin D very low, prediabetes - No family history). 5. I am not back on Statin 10 MG Fenofibrate 160 mg (Atorlip F). My Question is - Can I just take Fenofibrate only to reduce triglycerides and will it help me reduce my triglycerides level? Will that cause any issue? - Can I take Niacin (nicotinic acid) only with combination to Multivitamin - Daily Cardio exercise (6 Km cycling 3 KM walk). And Strict diet. My Background: Very sedentary, with pedometer I take 500-600 steps a day in total. Couch potato, 5.7 feet, 58 KG (THIN) - lost 6 KG through swimming only. No history of Familial Hypertriglyceridemia. What would you recommend as alternative treatment for me, based on the observation above.

aztor milder than rozat, rozat double strong. rozat/Astor are useful after heart attack, they are not needed before heart trouble starts

Yes you can combine, but COQ is not a medically proven chemical. Try not to be on long term medicines for preventive health, it is quite a fashion but probably dangerous.

Paxidep CR should not be broken. 12.5mg is the least dose to start.
You can take Atorlip

Your medicines are too many and much too strong. You can add surbex vitamin, but you need to change your mindset, meet Dr. to reduce medicines, not for increasing.

Dear Lybrateuser,
-As per the assessment of the cardiologist you have to get your mother treated for her heart problem
-the treatment will also depend on the degree ofblockage, a 1st degree may not require treatment, a 2nd degree will require medication or a pacemaker & a third degree or complete block will require a pacemaker
-also a healthy lifestyle is important, a well balanced diet, regular exercises, proper sleep & reduced stress level will keep the heart & body healthy & fitmore

Atorvas is a little more effective for controlling LDL and simvastatin is little more effective in increasing HDL.
