Dear sir I am 80 years old. I use modlip 10. But due to lighten, since modlip 10 was unavailable in market, the shop owner gave me atorbest 10. Is it ok to use atorbest in place of modlip? As you know, they are heart related diseases.

Same medicine. May be taken instead of modlip. Ask your Dr. whether you can stop cholesterol medicines for 8 weeks while there is covid19 epidemic.

atorvastatin is generic name, and atorva 20 is brand name. Try finding a brand name, it usually is different for different pharma companies. I am sure, you can find your alternative brand name in cheaper cost.

Avoid medicines. These can worsen liver enzymes. Cholesterol 150-310 are ok. It is best to reduce triglycerides by diet. Medicine is poor option, to be avoided. Best wishes.

Sir, I was taking heart blockage medicines for 5 months atorva 40, metolar 25, ecosprin.After started taking atorva 40 I was not able to walk hardly 25 steps on the road. My breathing got heavy on. Little walk. I got. My angiography. Everything is normal. I immediately quit all medicines. But the side effects of atorva remains in my body still. I still not able to walk. My breathing gets heavy. Please tell when will I able to walk normally and do my work.

Atorvastatin perse will not be the reason for you to have difficulties in walking and we should rule out any other causes after clinical examination and we should also rule out any kind of lung disease.

I would like to know the presentation at time of first ecg 2 months ago.
Would be better if you send me her both ecg / echo if done

Cholesterol medicine is needed after heart attack. F stands for fenofibrate, which is very seldom required. Recheck whether it will improve or worsen your health before embarking on polytherapy.

Hi Sir, For how many years should I take clopidogrel A 75 and atorvastatin 20 mg. I got one stent inserted for 15 to 20% blockage as seen by thallium. 13 years back. Now my lipid profile is normal.

Stop clopidogrel after discussing with your Dr. Two blood thinners are required for about one year of stent. They can usually be reduced to aspirin alone after that. Atorva 20 can be reduced too, but better to do so 12 weeks after improving diet. Traditional balanced diet is healthier for heart than restricted modern diet. Beat wishes.
