Don't discontinue, go on with same medicine, with the same dose & try to change your diet, take fat free, salt restricted, high fiber diet, check your lipid profile every month, when your cholesterol & triglyceride will come down, then reduce the dose in consultation with a cardiologist. Easy!. take Tab. Rosuvastatin 20mg. a day for three months. repeat blood lipid levels till total Cholesterol reduced to 100. plenty of fruits and vegetables. low salt. less than 2G/ day. avoid pickles and Pappama. Exercise. meditation.

U need to check fasting lipid profile. And according to it I can suggest dose of atorvastatin. But at this age your ct will definately show blockages. U should go for conventional angiography if you really having anginal typical symptoms to know real picture. your medicines are insufficient.

Triglycerides are manufactured in liver from alcohol sugar jaggery and starchy foods. Reduce these in your diet. Tonact is needed for patients of blockages. If you are already under atorvastatin you can have it in the previous evening before lipid profile to ascertain whether it is under control with atorvastatin or not
