Mirtazapine (nassa not ssri) is far better in inducing sleep compared to venlafaxine. Venlafaxine is not superior to mirtazapine in treating adhd, ocd and anxiety. A ssri (e.g. Paroxetine, slight helpful in sleep induction too) would be a good choice if you want to shift from mirtazapine.

Hello; first you have to stop giving him neurocetum or similar named syrup you are giving him. What is your son's weight & height? c. Atomoxetine (acepta) is a very good medication & we can increase its dose depending on your sons responses like studies, behavior in class etc. In addition, there are other good medications like methylphenidate, clonidine also which can be prescribed if required. Do revert back for further help. Good luck.

Stimulants such as methylphenidate and amphetamines are the most common type of medication used for treating adhd. Although it may seem counterintuitive to treat hyperactivity with a stimulant, these medications actually activate brain circuits that support attention and focused behavior, thus reducing hyperactivity. In addition, a few non-stimulant medications, such as atomoxetine, guanfacine, and clonidine, are also available. For many children, adhd medications reduce hyperactivity and impuls...more
