Asthalin is a bronchodilator (medication which will melt the mucus accumulated in the airway). This melted mucus comes out as a cough, vomiting or in motion. It is commonly used in congestion for children of that age.

You are wrongly adv to take aerocort which is for emergency use only. Take foracort 200 rotacaps twice/day by rotahaler followed by mouth wash
