Amrox-ls syrup is a combination of three medicines: ambroxol, levosalbutamol/levalbuterol and guaifenesin, which relieves cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.

Expectorants help thin mucus, making it easier to cough up. The ingredient guaifenesin is the only expectorant in the U.S., so look for it on the label if you need an expectorant. Suppressants help cut the number of times you cough. The active ingredient listed is usually dextromethorphan (DM).

You can try products like guaifenesin (mucinex) that thin mucus so it won't sit in the back of your throat or your chest. This type of medication is called an expectorant, which means it helps you to expel mucus by thinning and loosening it.

Don't give ascoril for common cold. It contains terbutaline, and will increase herat rate. Use only simple cough remedies like benadryl cough formula, which contains only diphenhydramine and ammoniumchloride.

If repeated infection is there but child is gaining weight then no worry but not gaining weight then investigate. For present complain it is mostly viral infection
