Normal Dose for 5 months baby is 0.5 ml twice diluted with water. It is used only in productive or obstructive cough and has many side effects or drug interactions. Hence must be used only on advice of Physicain / Paidiatrician under their direct supervision

Hi. Just gar gar sound is not enough to prescribe asthakind in a baby. I would suggest get his chest examined. Cough syrups should be given with a lot of caution in babies. And whether that sound is due to nasal block or coz of chest issue, examination by a doctor is must.
Furthermore, dose will depend on the weight of the baby.

Treat the cause and platelets usually Increase on its own and as of now stop using nasal spray and I will suggest you to buy a steam inhaler machine of crescent company and Take a flow of steam (of plain water only ) over the forehead through the inhaler and can repeat the process after eight hours as and when required and For pain take tablet paracetamol 650 mg eight hourly
