Dear Unmesh,
There is no hard and fast rule about total completion of the cycle. Nexito plus may take about 2-3 weeks to take action itself. After that adjustment of dose will be done. Even after recovery from depression, you may have to continue tablets for 3-6 months. You need to be on regular follow up with your doctor every 2-3 weeks for assessment of benefit and side effect.
Asprito may be given only till the psychotic symptom persists. It may be stopped once suspicious ideas, suici...more

Hello lybrate-user,
schizophrenia is disorder which requires careful monitoring and correct dosages by a psychiatrist who is well versed with the management. Asprito is used for many psychiatric disorders. I feel though you can try holistic measures and spritual healing you will be better off continuing the medication. You can visit your doctor who has prescribed the medicine and he will modify or prescribe other medication. It is wise to visit a psychiatrist.

I was wrongly diagnosed for bipolar disorder and got admitted in vimhans hospital and was on diva 500 mg, lithosun Sr 400 mg, arip mt 10 mg, pacitane and these I were taking twice a day. I got married in 2015 and due to side effects which I am facing like erectile dysfunction, burning in throat, weight gain, low appetite, doctors in AIIMS hospital reduced my medicines and I started to take only lithosun Sr 400 mg twice a day. But my ex-wife put allegations against me for impotency, ED and I got divorced in 2017. In frustration, I went to Mumbai and did sex with two sluts using condom and I got in problem and again got admitted in hospital over there and then I started to take intalith cr 450 mg in increased dosage everyday but with passage of time I then started to take 2 tablets of 450 mg a day. Just 1-2 months ago, doctor in AIIMS changed it to lithosun Sr 400 mg and have been taking it twice a day. Due to these changes, I feel abnormality in my chin and heaviness in nerves and muscles. I feel my lower part of face can get twisted. Kindly guide how can I overcome this health issue?

Not as far as I know. I suggest that you combine medication with therapy to effectively deal with this disease. The counseling gives you an avenue to work with your emotional issues and you will develop skills in coping with the everyday challenges that life throws at you. I hope your visits to the psychiatrist were regular and the medication has been frequently reviewed during these 6 years. You need to be occupied, and fit into a routine of interesting activities every day. Yoga and meditation...more

There is no yes or no answer to this question. When deciding whether or not to take aripiprazole during pregnancy it is important to weigh up how necessary aripiprazole is to your health against the possible risks to you or your baby, some of which will depend on how many weeks pregnant you are? Remaining well is particularly important during pregnancy and while caring for a baby. For some women treatment with aripiprazole in pregnancy may be necessary.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
The two molecules mentioned are for treating the psychiatric problem that is present. Those have been given as you must be needing the same. Since your TSH is 6.6 mu/L, please let me know if you are treatment for hypothyroidism also? Because with a BMI of 32.03 kg? Sq meter you are already in grade 1 obesity. This suggests uncontrolled hypothyroidism. Thanks.

Dear Unmesh,
There is no fixed time duration for these tablets. It depends on the diagnosis. Even after focussing well, you need to continue them for few more months to maintain the benefit. Discuss with your doctor and be regular for the follow up consultations.

Hi lybrate-user,
along with medication would recommend to go for a counselling session. Depression can be treated with counselling and psychotherapy. Schizophrenia can be managed with medication and psychotherapy.
Take a professional help and get better soon.
