I have taken asomez2. 5 at 8 pm. Can't sleep at 12 am. Last BP 2 days back 100/140.

Since when are you taking asomex. your BP is still not under control. U need to see your attending physician for a change in medicine.

I have a problem of uncontrolled bp. My doctor has prescribed me following sets of antihypertensive medicines: 1. Olmat mt 20/50 mg (olmesartan 20 mg metoprolol 50 mg) - 1 od2. Moxovas 0.3 (moxonidine 0.3 mg) - 1 bd3. Eslo-5 (s-amlodipine 5 mg) - 1 odi started the above medicines on 16.09.2023. With the help of the above medicines, my bp readings, each taken 3 minutes apart are as under:on 20.09.23 9: 00 am: 153/80, 929: 03 am: 141/68, 8612: 05 pm: 152/73, 7712: 08 pm: 120/66, 7405: 30 pm: 159/77, 7605: 33 pm: 134/70, 71on 23.09.2303: 30 pm: 155/75, 7703: 32 pm: 137/66, 73b. K. Chaubey, 71 year/male in spite of my entering the bp reading correctly, I don't know why some haphazard information is being shown above. Please read these as under: on 20.09.23, at 9 am: 153/80, at 9.03 am: 141/68, at 12.05 pm: 152/73, st 12.08 pm: 120/66, at 5.30 pm: 159/77, at 5.33 pm: 134/70. On 23.09.23, at 3.30 pm: 155/75, at 3.32 pm: 137/66.

I am 67 years old man, active and weight 75 kgs. Not diabetic. Only hyper blood pressures but under control with asomex 2.5 mg. Since last 12-15 months my calfs and lower legs are hurting extremely, and spasm like attack until gas release or legs are pressed. Previously it was only at night now its even during day time. I smoke about 15-20 cigs, for past 40 years. Vegetarian, light meals. I was prescribed pramipex 0.5 - it stop working. I am advised to do arterial as well as venous doppler test for both legs. Costing about 6000/- for both legs both test. Should I spend this kind of money. What will be findings? After this will I need mri for mild back pain? Is it associated with leg pains? Please give your opinion and some explanation. Thank you for your guidance.

Get arterial and venous doppler studies to rule out any obstruction in blood flow which is common in chronic smokers.
Try physiotherapy for mild back pain.

Asomex is for bp. Cough for 3 years need inv. Like xray chest, spirometry cbc. Better consult a pulmonologist.

Hello Doctors, respect and thanks in advance for commenting on my query, I am sure I will get an ‘expert’ advise eventually. Well, my mother is 58 years old weighing 62 kgs. She is a diabetic (no insulin injection) and her sugar reports are as follows:- Plasma Glucose (F) – 124 and Plasma Glucose (P.P) – 201 mg/dl. She is also a heart patient, she gets tired (haapti hain aur paseena aataa hain) after walking for 1-2 kilometres and we are visiting a cardiologist every 3 months from last 12 years. Her current HEART medicines are Valent 40, Tide 5 Mg, Tide 10 mg, xplode tab, Asomex 2.5 mg, tonact 10 mg, Glycomet 250 mg and rivotril 0.5 mg. As per recent 2D echo test, her heart’s efficiency is 35%. Our regular cardiologist says, she has to take these medicines for lifelong with no option. My mom is scared of Angiography and says she don’t want to take chances with her life with this test due to her fear. Our reason to worry these days is different, she is getting tingling, tickling or prickling sensation experienced in her hands at regular intervals from last 10-12 days, I believe medical term is “Paresthesia”. I am tensed and I really want to take preventive measures for my mom due to this unusual and regular sensation. Simultaneously I also want to get her treated “permanently” from this heart disease. Can all experts please comment, firstly on “Paresthesia” and then on permanent freedom from this heart medicines / disease? Which type of tests I should do first (full body check up) or which type of doctor shall I see on priority, if required?

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have read the details and understand your concern. She is on mainly on two anthypertensive drugs and a diuretic to reduce her blood pressure. (Valent, Tide and Asomex). Those have to be continued as as she may be having high BP. There is no cardiac specific drug. Xplode tab is kind of a general tonic and some aphrodesiac activity because of ginseng. Which more of a claim. Its other benefits are again not really substantiated. Hi Sir, My father is 76 years old, had poliomyelitis at the age of 2 and therefore suffers from severe kyphoscoliosis due to this disease. A few weeks ago he was admitted in ICU as he had trouble breathing (mainly due to pneumonia he was having), his co2 level was of 52 and his oxygen saturation of 75. He was put on bipap oxygen and nebulizer treatment. He spent 6 days at the clinic and is now at home with oxygen 24th a day and does not cough anymore. Though he still has some sputum. He is still on antibiotic (orelox) He has troubles eating and sleeping (his scoliosis makes it hard for him to sleep lying down so he sleeps in a sitting ish position) The doctor at the icu decided to change his hypertension medication, he used tenormin everyday before but now uses tenormin alternating days and azomex everyday. I am wondering if azomex is not worsening his breathing condition? And also wondering if you have any tips for a sleeping position? And is it normal that he feels unwell when eating?

Asomex May not be the problem, but you can stop it for 2 weeks to check. Ask Dr. for alternate, or consider previous BP med for this period.

Please first do life style modifications.
Brisk walking 30 min daily for 30 min.
Avoid ghee and fatty diet take lot of salad before each meal salt tata light
tab. Asomex 2.5 mg one daily after breakfast.
