About Ascoril D Junior Syrup

Ascoril D syrup is an active mucolytic agent that helps to treat acute or chronic respiratory diseases by breaking down the structure of mucus in lungs. It helps in the treatment of cough, chest congestion, common cold, hay fever, runny nose, eye mydriasis and other such conditions.

The syrup works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, promoting mucus clearance with the help of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and local anaesthetic effects. It reduces the production of phlegm in the air passages.

The medication is usually prescribed for younger children but can be used for adults in some conditions. Breastfeeding and pregnant women also must avoid consumption of the syrup, as there is sufficient information proving it safe for use is not available.
