Dear lybrate-user,
Nice to hear that you are happy with your doctor. Please keep it up. Liking a doctor, makes you to comply with her/his treatment. With regular treatment, you will not have frequent relapses. Schizophrenia is a relapsing disorder. Early recognition and meeting a psychiatrist is a very good sign of preventing relapse.

It is not depression but paranoid symptoms and psychosis, suggestive of schizophrenia if the symptoms are more than 1 month in duration. Arip and fludac are too low in dosage. Anyway wait for 2-4 weeks for improvement and better dosage with a better medicine would be good for him.

The forgetfulness is not accountable by any of the listed medicines, depression in itself can cause memory disturbances that go away once your chemical disturbances improve with antidepressants.
The forgetfulness that you have mentioned could be due to initial body adjustments to the medicines and also many a times the slight sedation caused by such medicines can make us feel amnestic.

First, we need to be sure of diagnosis before commenting on medications. But, at the outset. Does'nt make sense giving antipsychotics and antidepressants considering the doses in which they have been prescribed.
