I have been using a cream containing glyceric acid, arbutin and kojic acid for 5 days to treat hyperpigmentation around the mouth. I experienced a severe burning sensation last time I applied and washed it off immediately. However, i'm noticing a lighter patch of skin where I applied it, hypopigmentation. Is this permanent or will it go away on its own? I have stopped using the cream after 5 days.

Hello doctor. My face skin is become darker due to changing the surrounding. But I have also hyperpigmentation problem around my mouth and chin area. I have used vit c serum and alpha arbutin serum for two months but didn't get any visible result. Right now I am just using salicylic face one or two a day and chemical peel using since last month, 2 times every week. However did not get any positive result till now please suggest how to lighten my face skin.

You can apply aloe vera juice/gel from its leaf (fresh, not from readymade
gels available in market) on your face. Remove skin of an aloe vera leaf. Take/scoop out gel. Apply this gel to your face skin. Wash with plain water after an hour.

I have acne problem since I have used grazia cream (hydroquinone, tretinoin,mometasone furoate cream) for fairness for a long time and because of this I think my skin get thin and it causing pimples and acne. I have taken skin pilling treatment and also homeopathic treatment 3 years ago but no improvement, I tried everything thing good routine diet and all but still it does stop. The cream that you have been using is very harmful for the skin and has resulted in thin skin and pimples.
We need to first treat the skin for this and then i can suggest you some safe creams for fairness.
You may start a private consult for that.
Take care and use a good sunscreen of atleast 30 SPF

Currently I am using nu revo sebum control moisture at morning and tretinoin cream usp 0.02%w/w for 30 min at night. For facewash I use cetaphil gentle skin cleaner once in morning. Also sometimes when my face gets too dry at night I use cetaphil moisturizing cream but whenever I use it I have noticed that the next morning I get pimples over my forehead and cheeks. My face is of mixed type, middle forehead, nose and chin are oily and rest of the face normal type. I have heard a lot about minimalist brand and it's retinol, multipeptide, vitamin c, alpha arbutin, niacinamide, hydrolic acid, salicylic acid should I inculcate them in my daily routine. If yes then what should be used and at what time of the day. Also currently I am not using any sunscreen, so should I also include that in my daily routine and how to use it?

There are pigments on my forearms, neck, face and lower legs (basically a tan). This darkening has been there for many years now. I want to know about some effective treatments to fade the darkening completely and even my skin tone. I have been using a number of natural remedies and a lightening cream with kojic acid and arbutin for over a month now yet the results are not visible. Also, the unexposed body parts: chest, abdominal area, back and feet in my case have darkened which is strange for me. So, I would also like to know the cause of this unusual darkening and its treatments. I was born quite fair and want to regain that fair complexion if possible.
