Depression is a very common disease and affects every aspect of your life including your libido. Depression and some anti depressants curb sexual drive. This has a negative effect on the depression as sex releases 'happy hormones'. Thus depression and your sex life share a cyclic relationship. The effect of depression on your sex life is a result of both brain functioning and physical changes in the body. Women are more likely to suffer from a reduced libido as an effect of depression.

Hello, Zolpidem is a good hypnotic sedative medicine. It works best if taken on an as-and-when-required basis. You should follow the principles of sleep hygiene for a good restorative sleep. Also, melatonin, if you wish to start, take a dose of 3 mg rather than 5. Best wishes
thanks.

Not as far as I know. I suggest that you combine medication with therapy to effectively deal with this disease. The counseling gives you an avenue to work with your emotional issues and you will develop skills in coping with the everyday challenges that life throws at you. I hope your visits to the psychiatrist were regular and the medication has been frequently reviewed during these 6 years. You need to be occupied, and fit into a routine of interesting activities every day. Yoga and meditation...more

There is no yes or no answer to this question. When deciding whether or not to take aripiprazole during pregnancy it is important to weigh up how necessary aripiprazole is to your health against the possible risks to you or your baby, some of which will depend on how many weeks pregnant you are? Remaining well is particularly important during pregnancy and while caring for a baby. For some women treatment with aripiprazole in pregnancy may be necessary.
