I am having a strange feeling of cold and minty sensations in the back of my throat since a week. It started a day after taking alcohol and a heavy dinner a week back. When I woke up in the morning I felt a minty cold sensation in the back of my throat leading towards my stomach. Its been a week now and its still there as it is. I felt the same sensation a year before but it went away automatically. But this time its persistent and irritating. Sir I am suffering with acid reflux from a long time. It comes by and goes off so many times in a year. I felt the same cold sensation 15 days back but it went away after taking omeprazole for 3-4 days. I have been advised an ENT to take pantoprazole, domperidone combination, Sucralfate suspension and levocetirizine and montekulast tablets after diagnosing oesophageal inflammation. No improvement so far, kindly advise are these medications appropriate or do I need a different prescription. I am an active cyclist and cycle for 32 km alternate day and visit Gym 4 days a week.

Looks like u have an upper respiratory tract condition
Plz check on ur diet to avoid stuffs that are cold and sweet
Also avoid exposure to ac or take precautions to keep warm
Drink only warm water
For oral medictIons u need to be questioned n detail

I was having left lower abdomen pain for about one week then I used to get more burps and knee pain my whole left side parts was having pain and then I took pantosec dsr tablets for one week I was fine after that and again after three days I have a slight pain in the left lower abdomen so what is it exactly what happening. I am done with my ultrasound scanning everything is normal.

Hello lybrate-user. Ultrasound is a very basic test.
If it is negative for any abnormal findings it does not mean everything is normal.
There are further investigations required.
Avoid taking medicines blindly.
Lower abdomen pain is not treated with pantoprazole.
Either you can consult and take proper guidance and treatment or you can wait.

ovacare forte and ovigyn dsr can be taken together. It has no major side effects but has steroid in it and be careful of the need to use

I am diabetic since last 4 years. Since last 2 years I am taking pioz mf 15 and euglim 1 but now my sugar level is fasting is 175 and pp is 93. I have consult with a new new doctor and he sugest to take pantocid dsr at 8 pm and pioglar g at 1.30 pm be lunch. Should I continue it?

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the information given. i do not understand the relationship between Pantoprazole and diabetes treatment.
You have mentioned fasting and PP (?) glucose level but no HbA1c5. So it is difficult to comment.
Pantoprazole is for controlling stomach acid secretion, it has nothing to do with glucose control. Please clarify why that has been mentioned. Thanks.

My father 67 year's old suffering from ankle swelling from last of February in this year. Sir, I have acid reflux from last 1 year and my doctor has advised me esomeprazole and domperidone combination I have been taken it from last one year daily. It's not very severe reflux but whenever I eat spicy or junk it happens specially in evening. When I take these medicines I do not see any symptoms. Is it safe to take it daily for long term like for coming years also or should I change it to rabeprazole.

Hi lybrate-user, whats your bmi. And what's the grade of reflux. A lot of life style changes can improve reflux especially if the grade of reflux is less. Physical activity, weight loss, smoking cessation, early dinner to increase gap between last meal and bed time. Etc.
