Valium and klonopin belongs to benzodiazepine class, benzodiazepine should not be taken longer than 6 months, these are highly addictive medicines, for quitting the medicine, kindly reduce the dose gradually (like klonopin 0.25 mg in day for week, after 1 week reduce it to 0.125 mg in day, like wise reduce the dose), do not stop medicines at once, gradually decrease the doses and observe for adverse effects, if found, kindly visit to the nearby physician asap.

Valium is not the ideal choice. Anticholinergic might help, discuss these issues with your psychiatrist. You have to be clinically seen and the condition identified and then prescribed. The medications you are taking are good. All the best.

There are more chances of being dependent on them if taken for long period of time as they have addictive potential.
Ideally one needs to work on his anxiety by behavioural therapy and these medicines can be helpful in initial...more
