Dear lybrateuser,
- If taken in the prescribed dose & proper time there are minimum or no side effects of the medicines mentioned
- for vitamins & calcium you can check the blood levels
- if other drug causes a side effect then it will be as a symptom as experienced by the person taking the medication.

Not at all. Amlodipin 5 mg is lowest dose. You can take 10 mg time to time if blood pressure raises. But Why Amlodipin? It is not advisable for all the cases. Are you having a heart disease? If no, then No need to take Amlodipin. Feel free to consult and discuss.

Hello, High blood pressure should always be treated by Lifestyle modification first. Means if you reduce your body fat, if you eat proper fruits and vegetables, plus reduce your stress level and do some yoga, automatically blood pressure becomes normal. So, try it out instead of piling on medicines.
