it's totally based on condition of your health how severe your problem is or how you deals with it and what is the progress of your recovery and how much efforts are you putting for improvement.

Dear lybrate-user,
with clozapine 600 mg alone, if you were good, your psychiatrist would not have added amisulpride. Please talk to your psychiatrist and the family member who accompanies you, about how good you were with clozapine 600 mg. By the way, amisulpride must be 100 mg - not 10 mg as you have mentioned.

Amisulpride is not a medication for depression. It is prescribed for psychosis. Most likely, you are having depressive symptoms as prodromal symptoms before another psychotic break. Consult your psychiatrist for evaluation and further management. Don't change dosage or switch to other medications without consultation.

The duration of treatment depends on the condition you are suffering from. If it is a mood disorder then treatment can be discontinued after a year or so. But if it is some psychotic disorder, then long term treatment is warranted. Kindly check up with a psychiatrist for asessment and drug discontinuation advice if possible.

Dear Rahul,
You can not diagnose the disease from the tablets you are taking. The amazeo od can be given for many type of disorders at different doses. Same with bupron - given for stopping smoking to major depressive disorder. Unless i know the diagnosis, i can not advise you the duration of medicine. Please discuss with your doctor.
