Better way is to consult local doctor and have a check up. He will prescribe appropriate locally available medicines. Change of BP medicine has to be with check up and doctor's prescription.

Hi,
Yes Amtas AT is a more powerful antihypertensive than Metoprolol XL.
Amtas AT contain combination of 2 salts.
Metro XL has just a salt.
So I guess you must be having high BP even on Metro XL and that is why he changed to the new drug.

Metoprolol and all beta blocker medicines can cause nasal stuffiness. If you have been diagnosed with allergic rhinitis, other drugs may be better for you.

No, that is not normal. Headaches and dizziness are may be due to fluctuating blood pressure. Please make sure your medicines are still working on you. I suggest you also start taking homeopathic medicines for the heaviness or dizziness and constant tired feeling.

With metoprolol, some amount of feet swelling is expected. Try to keep your feet raised while sitting and sleeping and try walking about at regular intervals, without sitting or standing for prolonged periods. As for acidity, aspirin is the culprit, but since you need it for your heart condition, try to manage it with plenty of water and avoiding spicy food.
