Hello friend, good that you are seeking a help here. Please be aware that medicines are just one part of treatment for depression or anxiety. Even after taking the medicine for 15 long years, your symptoms have not reduced. So it's important to focus and take treatment for the root cause instead of treating just symptoms.
Take a professional counselling or psychologist help to openly discuss about your thoughts and emotions which could be the root cause behind your anxiety and depression. Th...more

Dear Ankita,
You can take Escitalopram on empty stomach or with food or after food, as long as you don't forget to take it. It is better to connect it with food to remember

It is not good continue medicine. It leads side effects. Better to come out from medicine. For depression psychological counselling will helps very much. I think you never attend for counselling. Strong counselling sessions are required. Use the medicine whenever you feel normal then leave it. It is best as soon as possible you should come out from the medicine. There is nothing called better or inferior. All medications are tailored to an individual depending on the symptoms, response and tolerability. Over the Counter self medication and self medication by googling is dangerous to one's body and mind. Lorazepam is a benzodiazepine and can cause severe dependence and side effects on a longer run. Escitalopram ad Sertraline are SSRI's and need to be prescribed carefully adjusting/ titrating dosage by a psychiatrist. Hope this info helps.
