Sorry to hear that your grandmother is dementing. Alzil 5 mg will be increased to 20 mg slowly over next 6-9 months. It will stop her from dementing further. It will not improve her symptoms and make her alright like last year. Qutan is not a drug for dementia. But her behaviour that disturbs you people, will be under control with Qutan.

The behavioral problems are not tolerated by the family members. If you start attending the family members' group, you will understand why your father gets angry and leaves home. If the family understands his present level of memory and accepts it as such, behaviour of your father will change. Alzheimer's disease is a progressive brain disease in which brain tissue shrink and degenerate with time and it is not treatable. Only during initial few years some symptomatic treatment may be helpful. Urine problem usually occurs gradually towards late stage of disease. It is difficult to treat.
