How to take prevention from dengue? Is there any vaccination or tablets which can be taken for that?
The only protection that can work against Dengue infection is prevention of mosquito bites. Another interesting thing to be kept in mind is that the mosquito responsible for Dengue Virus transmission has a day biting habit. So use mosquito repellents, wear full sleeve clothes etc. Unfortunately there is no vaccine for Dengue infection prevention so far although researches are going on.

Hi lybrate-user,
Vaccines usually cause fever for 24 to 48 hours after administration of Vaccine. If the fever is persisting beyond this period or associated with other symptoms like cold, cough, throat pain, loose stools, then we can think other reasons such as Viral infections.
Hope I have answered your query.

The painless vaccine has currently lost favour in view of the increasing number of children detected to have got the disease inspite of vaccination. The efficacy and duration of effectiveness is lesser .
Hence these days it is advocated to use the painful vaccine, unless the child had had very severe side effects earlier, or has a history of fever induced convulsions.

It is the first vaccine that the doctor will ask your child to get if he/she gets wound. Tetanus is a rare but severe condition which occurs when bacteria enter into an open wound. It can turn fatal if left untreated, so you need to follow the vaccination schedule in order to control the infection. Indulging in substance abuse (especially the ones that require injecting with syringes) increases the risk of tetanus.
