Anticold tablet is an antihistamine which works by blocking the action of histamine in the body. It is used for relieving symptoms of sinus pressure, sinus congestion, runny nose, itching of the throat and nose, watery eyes, and sneezing due to upper respiratory infections, hay fever and allergies. You are advised to not use this medicine if you are allergic to it.
Proper consultation is required before consuming any random medication.

You can. The point is why would you want to give medicine for cold. Cold is a viral infection which will go away on it’s own. Allow your child’s immunity to fight it. It will improve her resistance to such common infections. Use medication only if she is in genuine discomfort or developed a fever.

No drug should be taken without obstetrician' advice in pregnancy. Cetrzine is not a "sleeping" pill. So break your habit! through it is category B drug it is best avoided on 1 st trim.

Please get a skin prick allergy testing done to find out what you are allergic to and take treatment accordingly. Allegra and cetirizine are not the solution for allergy as they do not address the root cause.

Dear lybrateuser,
- Avoid cold fluids, have more of warm fluids water, tea, coffee & soup
- do steam inhalation twice a day
- avoid exposure to cold weather, dust & smoke
- take tablet levocetrizine, 10 mg, 1 tablet daily at bedtime
- take syrup Chericof, 2 teaspoonful three times a day
- mix 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder in a cup of warm milk & have it twice a day
- if not much improvement then do investigations, consult a doctor.
