Apart from taking oral treatment with antibiotics and anti inflammatory medication I will suggest you to clean the wound with normal saline solution and do dry dressing and don't apply any ointment.

Yes, it is dangerous. You should plan to get admitted in a hospital under care of a physician. As it will be important to monitor your vitals, liver function tests and xray of abdomen for any serious damage. Apart from that supportive treatment and care for the symptoms you are getting.

I've been diagnosed with" posterior epidural space, barely enhancing, multicystic lesion of size 19x7x37 mm at d5-d6 level, it pushes cord anteriorly" in a contrast-enhanced mri of thoracic spine. As it was ce, I was given gbca as contrast dye, namely gadoxetate disodium 10 ml commercial names: eovist, primovist now, i've read some studies conducted in past decade, regarding it's retention in brain, bones, liver and kidneys, and i'm worried about it, individuals with intact blood-brain-barrier and proper renal function have known to have [gd] residuals in brain. [gd] in it's free ionic state is neurotoxic, it's been known for long time, it can participate in calcium voltaic-channels as a calcium mimic. The queries i've, 1. It's neurotoxic in free form, it remains in brain, so is there any specific treatment course for detoxification of the same? 2. The gbca I was given is primarily used for liver imaging, why was I given that one? Was it appropriate? (gadoxetate disodium is a linear ionic gbca, which has more retention characteristic than macrocyclic gbcas, in europe the linear gbcas are banned for the same, however gadoxetate disodium, being linear is approved only for liver imaging) 3. The side effects i'm experiencing are brain fog, constipation and feeling of hotness, what should I do about it? Brain fog is my topmost concern, I feel like complete different person, my emotions and visualization feels just like plain and raw text and pictures, i'm having mental confusion. After only that, I looked up available clinical data regarding the substance. My ability to think, the abstractions, have I lost them? 4. I am being sensitive to eat what or what not, i've read zinc, which is generally abundant in specific diets, affects the molecules stability, leading to release of neurotoxic ions, or food such cilantro having chelating properties, some notable pathological findings about me: my urine sample depicted no renal abnormalities. I've little exceeded amount of bilirubin content both direct and indirect. Thanks immensely in advance, and would like to follow up your advice and recommended treatment.

Dear lybrate-user
I think you are worrying too much. Single doses of the contrast do not have any long lasting effects so relax.
