Hello Mam, I am suffering from ringworm from about the last 1 year. Took plenty of medicines like cetirizine, anti biotic so many creams, but all in vain. Ringworm is spreading on the body like hell. Kindly help me in the right direction to stop spreading this ringworm.

Ringworm, though a stubborn infection should not take 1 year to subside. You probably have not taken the right treatment for a sufficient length of time. Visit a dermatologist nearby or consult online with pictures.

Hi doctor my daughter age is 5. Last month she had heat boils on her skin now it has completely recovered and there are some black marks on the skin now. While we consulted our family doctor he prescribed the allegra syrup calosoft lotion fucidin h cream cetirizine syrup and azithromycin antibiotic. I request you to prescribe medicines or creams for her black marks.

Hello doctor, my baby is 8 weeks (2 months old. He has skin reaction may be kind of hives. So pediatrician has given 5 drops of zyrtec (cetirizine) for 7 days once in the evng. But, by mistake I put 0.6 ml counting each drop 0.1 ml. Yesterday only one day I have put. I hope no problem to the baby as I have given overdose? As cetirizine recommended after 6 months but because of hives doctor has given this. What shall I do now. Shall I reduce the dosage today by giving less or stop for one day? I hope no serious side effects will happen in one day as he is just 2 months because of my mistake. He is having lot of sleep after medicine was given. I am exclusively breastfeeding him.

Yes ,you are right cetrizen recommended after 6 month of age. Observe the child for weaning effect of cetrizen which may last 12 hr. But problem is feeding. If child does not awake after 2-3 hr ,urgently contact to paediatriciasn. Other notable side effects are dry mouth, headache sometime retention of urine and rarly convulsion. But do not worry cetrizine is safe medicine in its class but you must consult to paediatrician if child does not awake. I hope ,it is compelete answer of your quarry.

Hi, I am getting hives on my body, and also, I have an itchy groin area. I have taken all the treatment, but it is not going away! I have been on allegra cetirizine tables, and now I am on atarax. But whenever I stop taking tablets, I get a crawling sensation in the groin area, and then it starts itching. Im totally confused why this is happening? Is it due to anxiety, or I have a disease?

It can be due to allergens, consult a dermatologist he will perform a test for the detection of an allergens. And you will be treated accordingly. No need to worry much.

I suffered from a minor ear congestion and trauma a few days ago for which I have been taking medicines and an ear drop daily. The doctor gave me Cetirizine 10mg, Paracetamol and Ciplox D. The medication doesn't seem to have any affect on me as yet. How long does such type of injury takes to heal? Can I still play badminton this week? Will running and any other activity put my ear in danger.

The ear condition you have mentioned takes at least 2-3 weeks to heal completely.
Sine you are diabetic it may take a little bit longer time to heal
please check your blood glucose level and control the diabetes.
Exercise does not increase the ear condition
if you donot have pain you may stop paracetamol and cetrizine.
If you donot have improvement please report again to the ent doctor for review and advise.

I have been diagnosed with allergic rhinitis and sinusitis (ethmoid as well as frontal), 15 years back. I tend to have sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion frequently. I have been taking cetirizine 10 mg 1 tab every day for more than 10 years. Started consulting a homeopath (9 months back and continuous consultations with him) and my symptoms improved and I was able to cut down the cetirizine to half tablet every other day. I started having the symptoms (sneeze, runny nose, severe nasal congestion, and mild headache) for the last 10 days. Any long term solution?

Bcz your problem is of long duration you should get a ct scan done of nose and pns to see any underlying pathology like polyps or polypoidal mucosa in nose. By the time you can use tab. Allegra-m daily at bed time and flomist nasal spray twice a day. Do steam inhalation twice a day.

Anil desai apr 16, 4: 55 pm ist dear sir, my wife is suffering of itching, burning sensation & redness at vagina & around anus parts, since almost a month. General physician prescribed: velog -20, tablets and alcet m for 10 days, along with hazel cream for anus & czson nb for vagina. .as she had constipation issue, Dr. Asked to take two spoon of lactifiber powder everyday in the morning. She got relief & in f/u visit ,dr. Advised to continue both creams twice a day. She is still having itching around anus, so advised to take bandy plus-400 mg one for four nights. She is advised to use can dusting powder after bath and also hazel ointment at anus & czson nb at vagina till total recovery. She is quite comfortable by now after a month. Do you suggest to stop treatment once she is fully recovered &/or continue same meds, including bandy plus. I am afraid of side effects if any. Kindly give your frank opinion, without any prejudice-as it will be of great help. Do you propose any test beyond physical examination to arrest recurrence? Thanks a lot. Regards, agdesai.

Hi doctor .my kid is around 10 month old. He has runny nose. Doctor prescribed cetirizine drops for 2 times a day 0.5 ml. I have overdosed my kid with 5 ml. He sputter and I velvet he must have consumed around 3 ml. Does it affect him in anyway. I have overdosed only once and I slipped next time but continuing 0.5 ml after skip for 2 more days as prescribed. He does not show any weird symptoms. But am panic as he is very small to convey any symptoms. Pls help.
