Side effects of low-dose albendazole therapy are minimal, consisting of diarrhea, abdominal pain, migration of ascaris through the mouth or nose, and rare hypersensitivity. With high-dose or prolonged therapy, elevated levels of hepatic transaminases, dizziness, neutropenia, and alopecia are most common. Pl meet paediatrician in nearby hospital.

Anthelminthic medications (drugs that rid the body of parasitic worms), such as albendazole and mebendazole, are the drugs of choice for treatment of ascaris infections, regardless of the species of worm. Infections are generally treated for 1-3 days. The drugs are effective and appear to have few side effects.

Mr. Lybrate-user, no body can not flush pin worms without albendazole or pyrntel pamoate or for that matter any other anthelmentic. Drugs are needed to kill adult female worms which lay a lot of eggs (11000 to 16000) around anal opening and also for eliminating eggs. Albendazole kills adult worms and breaks the life cycle. So the answer to your question is without drugs pinworms can not be eradicated.
