please use only plain ambroxol syrup, do not use omnacortil unless until indicated by doctor
and avoid all cold and sour foods
give sips of water to drink when there is cough

I have been coughing badly for past many hours with some phlegm and light headache. Prospan syrup is not working. I need to get some good sleep. Can I take relent even if I do not have runny nose or sneezing. Ie will it make me too dry.

Yes you can take relent.
Alternate is syears ambroxol + bromhexine + terbutaline 5 ml tds.
It will not make to dry

How long are complaint. If of short duration ,they can be due flu. Try lorfast 1 tab /twicw/day for 5 days.

Take lot of leukwarm water.Avoid cold/juices. take lorfast 1 tab twice/day for 5 days.If no fever and sputum not yellow it will subside in a week or so.

An xray chest and CBC test should be done to r/o any cause. Avoid cold.citrus foods,dust exposure. Take leuk warm water. You can try lorfast 1tab/twice /day
