In younger age recurrent infection and antibiotics will be needed and as he grows up these will reduce , There is no harm in giving antibiotic if there is infection and it will not cause any damage to the body ( unlike immunosuppressants and cancer drugs ) . Hii, cefuroxime+ clavulanic acid (cefakind cv) causing breathing difficulty as a side effect is very very rare. It has never documented so far. But we will see into it. Do you have any nose block, cough when you developed ear infection? A little more information is needed for better assessment.
