Hi,melacare should not be used without prescription from a qualified doctor. It is the combination of three different agents;hydroquinone, tretinoin and steroids. On long term use steroids can lead to thining of the skin and the retionds leads to photosensitivity because of which if you expose yourself to sun without proper sunprotection the skin becomes pink.Hence it should not be used long term or without proper indication.Stop using it immediately.Apply a good sunscreen in the morning.

Skin lite is a unique triple-combination topical therapy for the short-term treatment of the dark spots associated with moderate-to-severe facial melasma. Skin lite Cream should always be used in conjunction with sun-avoidance measures, like using sunscreens and wearing protective clothing. Skin lite may improve the appearance of melasma but is not a cure. Such medications should be used only under careful observation of your dermatologist.

Tretinoin use by pregnant women has not been extensively or adequately studied. Given its lack of a proven track record for safety in pregnant women, advised not to use.
The fda has designated hydroquinone a pregnancy category c substance, meaning that reproductive studies done on animals have shown to have adverse side effects on the fetus, but that there is a lack of well controlled studies in the human population.

I will advise against the use of turmeric. Also, hydroquinone, tretinoin creams should always be used under strict supervision by a qualified dermatologist. Otherwise it may lead to exogenous oochronosis which causes resistant pigmentation.

It's bad for the skin if used unsupervised and for a long period especially on the face. Any fairness produced by this cream is temporary and will lead lit of skin damage if continued.
