It is often used early on in acne to help to unblock pores and to treat blackheads or whiteheads and mildly inflamed spots. It is suitable for use on the face, back and chest.

Be patient. Acne improves slowly even with the most powerful treatments from your doctor. Do not expect much improvement in the first few weeks of any treatment.
Do not pick! Discipline yourself not to pick your spots, as this may encourage scarring.
Wash carefully. Wash the affected area twice a day with a pH-balanced, unperfumed soap. Avoid facial scrubs and abrasive cleansers, which might increase the inflammation of the skin and make scarring more likely.

Acne is now characterized as a chronic disease. Which lasts long. But it is 100% treatable. Home remedies are good to do for maintaing remission in a treated patient. Adaplene is a fantastic medicine but needs changes in regimes or addition of other particularly oral medicines. Please visit a dermatologist personally to sort things out for yourself. Do things which destress you. There are newer antistress medicines which create a major impact in acne care. Hope this helps.

Depends on the type of scar/spot you have. If its a flat dark spot/scar, it may resolve. However, if its a depressed scar, its unlikely to show much improvement.
Adapalene will definitely prevent further breakouts and scar formation. You'll need to apply religiously for atleast 2-3 months to see difference.

It sounds like you may be experiencing an adverse reaction to the adapalene cream. Adapalene is a retinoid medication commonly used to treat acne, but it can cause skin irritation, redness, and itching, especially when starting to use it. Here's what you can do to help alleviate the symptoms and improve the condition:
discontinue the use of adapalene cream immediately and avoid using any other potentially irritating skincare products on the affected area.
Gently cleanse the affected skin...more
