I am patient of mystenia gravis ,deases has been diagnosed in 2006 oct. since then I have been five times in crises, once I got plasma and rest of the times IVIG, it is ot fully cured, last ivig i took in dec,2012 ,i am on 10 mg prednisolon and 2000 mg cellcept, 4/5 tab mestinon 60 mg. along with this lot of other problems cropped, like sugar,hypertension,sleep apenea,vertigo,psvt, i also suffered with sever harpes zoster in 2007 ,burning and pain is still survived, need advice

Predace 4 mg tablet is a corticosteroid which is used to relieve symptoms such as pain and swelling in various conditions like arthritis and allergic disorders. Do not stop the use of this medicine suddenly since this may cause severe side effects. 4 mg table t once may be needed and it depends on the condition.

These chickenpox marks go in different stages. Drying of vesicles, scab formation with black coloration, falling off of scabs, leaving behind whitish spots. Normally color returns to normal within 2-3 weeks. Simple lactcolamine liquid may be applied multiple times. If marks are on exposed parts like face etc giving bad look. Ocuvir skin cream can be applied twice a day. Sure to get normal.

I think you must quickly get HbA1c done. If it is beyond 8, you must consult immediately. High blood sugar for a long time will lead to disastrous complications.

I am having blisters on my back area near my spine, it gives me a lot of pain and burning sensation. I have consulted a skin specialist who diagnosed it as Herpes Zoster. I have been prescribed Valcet 1000 mg thrice a day for 5 days. Emanzen D twice a day for 5 days. Fusiate cream to be applied on blisters twice a day for 5 days. Kivical lotion once every day at night. He did not do any tests for the same. Just manually verification and all these medicines were prescribed. For the last 3 days I have taken these medicines but not any great results yet. Are there any tests which needs to be done for the same to confirm the disease?

Herpes zoster. And be diagnosed by looking at the lesions. Pls complete your course of medication and then consult your doctor for follow up. It usually takes 1-2 weeks for it to heal.

I am 25 years old female. Suffering from Tuberculosis. Completed 2 and half month medication Now I am taking AKT-3 as advised by my doctor. However I have developed zoster herpes Near to my stomach area. Is it caused as my immunity is low? And dermatologist advice me to take Valtoval 1000 mg Is it safe to take while being on Anti Tb drugs and what are the side effects of this medicine as it 1g?

Health Query

Having Zoster hermes since past 15days. Area covered is on torso(half inch above navel) full band from spine till center stomach filled with small blisters, have 3 big blisters covered with pus(half inch diameter, didn’t break). Acivir cream+tablets(thrice a day) in progress since day 1. Suplementary medicines like Antacid+Pain reliever. For weakness taking Bicomplex forte+Neurobian Forte and for nerve relaxation Mecobion-OD tab. Today(16day), every blister has become black & fallen off. The big blister also which had become black now fallen exposing red colored skin underneath. Still not able to sleep+rest on back, back full aching+paining, many times during day the area infected pains a lot(internally) , pines & needles which existed for almost a month has stopped from day 12th. Qs is a)What precautions should I take henceforth as I am travelling to Australia now for 3 months b)how long for pain to go offc) how long to continue Avicir medicines application. I don’t know whom to consult hence seeking advise here.

You should consult a dermatologist. 10 days of acyclovir is sufficient. Now you are having post herpetic neuralgia, needs two months of treatment with pregabalin. Kindly consult dermatologist.

Chickenpox takes 7 - 10 days to recover. Take rest. Drink plenty of water.
Eat healthy diet or soft diet.

After having herpes Zoster for last more than 25-26 days, still there is a swelling in two or three fingers on the front side of hand. Already completed anti viral course. Presently taking Tryptomer 10 mg in the night and Ultracet or ibuprofen SOS. Also applying fucidin ointment one time on fingers. Still there is a pain on the left arm up to shoulder. Suggest some effective medicine.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Herpes zoster, takes fairly long time to resolve completely. Antiviral treatment needs to be continued for about 3 weeks. Other measures are basically palliative to reduce pain and irriation. Fucidin application is not required as it is a viral condition. You may apply some emolient cream. Thanks.
