Tonics are not the only solution to gain weight. You also have to eat right and exercise right to gain weight and build up strength and stamina in the body. You need to gain muscles to gain weight. In your condition your energy requirement is very high so whatever you eat is used as a source of energy and you do not make muscle. To gain muscles you will have to eat at least 6 meals in a day at a regular interval with a proper ratio of proteins and carbohydrates. Proteins will help you gain body mass while carbohydrates will help you give energy. Protein foods are eggs, fish, chicken, milk and milk. Products, meat and dals. Carbohydrate foods are roti and rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes. You have to eat vegetables and fuits and use healthy and good fats for cooking. You will also have to do some weight training exercise to help you build mass into the body. Also drink enough water to keep you hydrated.

I suffer from this problem at least 2-3 times a year. It get okay after various medications. I have done homeopath for almost 2years. This it is almost 2 months. Symptoms: I have irritation at the throat which causes me to cough erratically. Only right side if throat is sore and pains and even right nerve on the neck bloats when coughing. Eyes water mainly right, face turns red many a time leaky nose, sneezing and below eye circles on the cheeks pigmentation appears. Eye sockets and cheeks pain on being pressed. I try to avoid sour food, special vinegar raw or ripe mango and tamarind. Since the problem has increased in these last 3 eayrs. Earlier I would suffer cold cough pharyngitis, other ailments. Just finished course of antibiotic given by fly doc. And ent given moxcip 400mg solving & cortimax 6mg after finishing these also no relief in cough. What are the medicines should take for this sought of which I get with irritation at the throat. Discharge from mouth and nose.

Dear...... Gargle with warm water, drink warm water, juice,green veg., veg. Soups, lquid diets, dalia, protein diets, tulsi leaf in tea or warm water, geloy juice, take vit.C diet. A avoid cold area, dust area, cold things .i.e. ice creams, take bed rest , feel high cold then cover body with warm cloths, avoid dust area, clean body, change cloths daily, change bed sheet daily, Cold sponging if get high fever with cold and cough. Use nasal spray otrivin for sneezing or running nose. If eye goes red then clean them with cold water. Whenever vomiting persist with cold/cough/fever. Then take tab. Perinorm-5mg sos. For relief take over the counter medicines i.e. tab. Paracetamol 650 mg twice a day after meal. Tab. Flucold once a day after meal. Never take asprin medicines in now a days or fever/cold/cough. It causes of low platelets counts. . Now seasons of viral infections/ flu - cold/ cough/ fever. If symptoms occurs again go for tests..cbc, ns1, blood c/s. X-ray PNS, X-ray chest. After tests give me all details I give you best advise. Get well soon .

Being a dietitian my views: there is no single diet chart for everyone. To plan a specific diet we do collect lot of information like height, weight, food frequency, digestive history, medical history, likes, dislike, lifestyle, eating habits. Remember one thing to follow a diet it should be personalized according to person's body type and not generalized. Starting with there is no pills or powder or shake which can help you to lose weight in a healthy way. To lose weight eat an hour within walking up and dinner at least 2 hours before you sleep. Avoiding eating anything after dinner. Breakfast should be your king size have good complex carbohydrates and protein rich. Eat every 2 hours small frequent meal do help in weight loss. And do not overeat. One can come to ideal body weight with few lifestyle modification. Have green tea only 2 cups a day. For exercise I would say diet plays 80 % role and exercise plays 20 % role in losing weight. Personal advise on gym. You should not make your body habituated with machines rather do simple walk or surya namaskar or planks. So only with healthy eating one can lose weight.

Dear lybrate-user, welcome to lybrate. Anger and aggression are emotions. Anger comes when you become irritated. Irritation happens when you don't like something, or when something is repeated. As anger is an emotion, it should be vent out. You should be able to throw anger out instead of controlling it. But more perfect will be, know the frustrating situations and stop being emotional. If practiced properly, you will not get irritated at those circumstances at all. Those techniques are much easier to understand. Take care.

Early Morning ----2 glass fresh water Breakfast: ----Banana and milk or banana shake or smoothie, whole-grain toast, fruits, nuts. Eat more fruit and drink less juice. Do not take milk mixed with ghee . It is not healthy. Lunch:------- Roti or chapatti or wholegrain bread, rice, green vegetables, paneer, dal, chole recipe, black-eyed beans (lobia), rajma, whole wheat pudding (dalia), etc Dinner: Similar to lunch In-between meals:: fruit, sandwich, yogurt (curd), milk, cheese, salad Avoid deep fried snacks like samosa (samosa recipe), pakodas, bhujia etc. Avoid fast foods . Note-----1. Drink pure fruit juice. It is full of sugar and added nutrients so it is a healthy and nutritious way to gain some pounds.

Hi Ms. lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help. Well, the exact cause of recurrent oral ulcer (s) though unknown, you can take the following steps in general to lessen the incidences of the same - (a) Maintain oral hygiene on a regular basis - keep your mouth clean and healthy. (b) You can reduce the risk of damage to your mouth by using good quality & soft toothbrushes and also by leveling off rough edges of teeth/ dentures, if any. Preferably, I would recommend use of 'Neem' toothpaste for brushing. (c) Eat a healthy and balanced diet rich in vitamins A, B, C and E. Include fresh fruit and green leafy vegetables to reduce the risks of oral cancer. (d) Take Green tea, up to 2 times daily. Stay well hydrated. (e) Avoid high calorie, greasy, fatty, oily foods including fast foods. Restrict consumption of sweets, carbonated drinks etc all. (f) Apart from diet, make sure you streamline your lifestyle too with daily exercises, de-stressing and relaxation. If you are habitually constipated, the above-mentioned shall help. (g) You can take a tablet of probiotics (like 'Sporlac DS' or 'Becelac forte' capsules) daily before food, subject to your dentist's concurrence. As an alternative, you may take once curd and buttermilk spiced up with a little bit of turmeric on a daily basis. (h) If the ulcer pains, you can apply a pain relieving gel (as advised by your dentist), locally. Do gargle / rinse your mouth with Betadine gargle (not to be swallowed) 2 to 3 times daily, after food. Alternately, you can also use warm saline water for gargling. (i) Should the ulcer pain, you can apply (topically) a layer of fresh and pasteurized honey (good quality) on the ulcer (s). You may also slowly apply ice cubes for sometime to alleviate pain. (j) Last but not the least, regularly visit your dentist. If you see the ulcer not healing up for more than 3 weeks, do visit your dentist promptly, and get the same clinically examined. First of all focus on losing weight. Overweight people tend to have pigmentation in the folds. Scrub your regularly with good loofah and to lose weight - Don’t worry. You can lose weight easily if you are patient and determined to shed those extra kilos. You just have to alter your daily routine, watch what you eat and be physically active. This requires you to be on your weight loss commitment for quiet long. As soon as you start seeing the results, you will be surprised as well as motivated to go beyond your weight loss and adopt and a lifelong healthy attitude. For a start please follow: 1.Watch what you eat – Are you eating too much junk, drink excessive alcohol and eating too much white food and sugar? Please cut it down to as low as you can from tomorrow. Cut down tea/coffee if you are too addicted to it. It is creating havoc inside your body. 2.Lifestyle – Are you a late sleeper and late riser? You can’t imagine what this schedule of yours is doing to your metabolism. It is degrading your digestive system from inside and your looks from outside. 3.Physically active – If you are a couch potato who loves to watch tv whole day then throw that couch of yours in the street and get yourself a treadmill tomorrow. Yes it is as simple as that. Who is stopping you? You have to be physically active all day long if you want to burn those extra calories. Do daily brisk walk, Pranayam, atleast 20 surayanamaskar everyday to start seeing the results. Take break between office work to walk a little or rather just climb some stairs to get that food you ate in lunch have space and heat to digest and absorb. What’s the harm in using your washroom to do a little middle of the day squats. Do that – No one is watching you. The key is to stay physically active all day long, no matter what. 4.Eat healthy and eat on time: Not only eating healthy is important but eating at right time is equally imp too. Have an early breakfast and early dinner and have 4 small meals between breakfast and dinner. To guide you a bit, here you go: a.Breakfast (Between 8-10 a.m) – Have oats/porridge or brown bread with milk and nuts. B.At 11 a.m - Cup of Green Tea c.Mid day meal (around 12 p.m) – Have a bowl of fruits. Citrus fruits are best taken during this hour and absorb well in the body. Have oranges, amla, pineapple etc during this hour. D.Lunch (between 2-3 p.m) – Daal, roti,mix veg, buttermilk and salad. You can also take brown rice with daal in lunch. Try to get your food cooked in olive oil. Lace your salad with apple cider vinegar, black pepper and seeds like flaxseeds or chia seeds to make it nutrition packed lunch. E.Between 4 p.m – 5 p.m – Cup of Green Tea f.Evening (4-6 p.m) – Have some nice sprouts with tomatoes and cucumber. G.Dinner (2 hours before sleeping, preferably before 9 p.m) – Paneer & veggies salad with olive oil, Roti or brown rice with Daal. H.Have a glass of warm milk.

Onion is a rich source of sulphur which helps in hair growth by increasing collagen production. Using its juice on the scalp can help in controlling hair fall. Steps: chop one onion finely and squeeze out its juice. Apply the juice on your scalp and let it stay for 15 minutes. Now rinse with a mild shampoo and let your hair air dry. Use this twice a week to see results.

You will have to take antidiabetic medications lifelong. It needs continous monitoring and most importantly you need to follow diabetic diet and exercise daily for at least 30 minutes. Its not mandatory that you will require insulin.

Dear user. I can understand. SEXUAL STAMINA cannot be built on one day. Moderate exercise can help in increasing sex energy to a great extent. Simple push-ups or 30 minutes of regularly walking or jogging can work wonders in building sex power. Oysters,, almonds, cashew nuts, sesame seeds, walnuts, Fruits like apples, apricots, blueberries, cherries, papayas etc. dates, chocolate, pumpkin seeds, onions etc can also help you to improve your sexual power.
