Pediatrician, Gurgaon

Along with the baby, the mother also benefits physically and emotionally from breastfeeding. Due to the release of the prolactin hormones, a peaceful and nurturing sensation fills the mother.

If she can hear properly, responds to commands made, no need to worry, wait until she starts speaking.

Yellow watery stools in 1 month old baby are normal if your baby is only on breast milk. No worries. Continue breast feeding her and just keep a record of her weight regularly monthly.

You can use a sterile gauze with savlon solution to clean it and cover it with sterile bandage. You can do the dressing every day once. If the would is pink then it is healthy, if it shows lot of ous then it is infected and needs medical attention. (usually the wound gets better in 1- 2 weeks depending on the extent of damage ). Read about hygiene and follow the safety precautions.

Hello, I want to know Heart beat Maximum rate in Dengue Fever of 8 month's child, because my nephew had Dengue fever ...
Raised heart rate in a child is a significant finding. Heart rate of 230 is very high. Definitely take baby to a paediatrician to get her checked. Dengue fever at 8 months has to be managed very closely by an experienced doctor. You can't manage significantly raised heart rate at home.

My 10 months baby is not feeding milk well, He always run and stop feeding despite trying very hard, can l give cypon drop? Is it helpful for his appetite?

MBBS, FELLOWSHIP IN PAEDIATRICS

It is not recommended to give such medicines to children under 2 years of age. Feeding a child is a difficult task. Try not to run after him force him to eat because your baby would most likely defy you. Eat together as a family, so he sees everyone else eating and give your child options on food to eat and give high energy food in small proportions. When you give your child a little food on the plate and they finish it, this gives them a sense of satisfaction and make sure you praise your child for it as well. Gradually you ll see positive changes in your child's appetite. You just need to work with patience.

You. Have given very true story of most of six months children. They are getting addicted to sucking at breast. This mostly happens when mother give frequent breast in night time. In lay man term you call it ziddi. To avoid it, you have to have patience, gradualy child have to recognise the impotance that eating food is better and fills the tummy rather than sucking empty breast.
