Do regular exercise. Take 2 glass water in the morning. Make a habit of consuming one well ripen banana with a cup of warm milk. Eat soaked dry grapes or dates soaked in warm milk overnight. Include protein rich food in your diet. No drink before meals. Take small and frequent meals.

1. You need to take energy & nutrient dense foods like peanut chikki, til ladoo, paneer paratha with ghee, soyabean cutlet, aloo halwa, sugarcane juice, bel sherbat, mango juice, banana milkshake, mango lassi, cheese-omlette/french toast/egg curry/egg bhurji, peanut butter, jam/jelly, premix, cereal malt with cow/buffalo milk & sugar, thick atta-maida rotis with ghee, rice with ghee, chicken curry/roll, badam kheer, khajoor (dates), kathal (jackfruit), lichi, chickoo, dry fruits. 2. Drink 3 litres water daily 3. have small frequent meals at 2-3 hrs intervals instead of 3-4 large ones

Hi, i am 35 year old female with two kids, i m having hypothyroid and my weight is 90 kg and height is 5.4, my doctor told me to take orlica 60 /lipocut 60 before every large meal alongwith my routine thyroid medicine. Reduce intake of carbohydrates and fats, increase intake of fluids and proteins, and go for a walk of at least 45 min a day 5 days a week. There is no easy way to reduce weight.

What should my daily intake of calories be? and What is the glycaemic index (GI)?

Daily intake for you should be around 3000kcal and glycemic index we use for diabetic and ask them to take low gi food because these food do not metabolise to sugar as soon as it is taken but take few hours to metabolise.

Ageing is always traumatic. One gets weaker, develops wrinkles and falls prey to degenerative changes and diseases. But cosmetic science has one or two useful tricks up its arm to make one's face look young and full, even when age is playing catch up-like cheek implants.

These are also ideal for thin-faced people looking to acquire a rounded facial profile.

We all know that there is a loss of fat, especially from the cheek area due to ageing. This leads to a flattening and hollowing out of this part with wrinkle folds also becoming very prominent.

Fat grafting where fat from the same patient is grafted under the skin in cheek area to give one a fuller looking face, injectable fillers and facelift, a surgery in which excess skin is cut off, tightening the face and rejuvenating it, are some of the options available.

However, fat grafting can distort facial features, fillers are temporary and face lift is a big surgery. Hence synthetic cheek implants using silicone are becoming very popular these days.

More About Cheek Implants:

Cheek implants vary widely not only in shape and style but also in the material with which they are made. Solid implants made of silicone and polyethene, like the ones which were used in breast augmentation, are quite popular today.

Cheek implant surgery usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes. A cut is made either inside the upper lip or through the lower eyelid. A pocket is formed here and the implant is inserted. This is held by muscles, stitches or natural screws.

The inside of the mouth is then stitched up.

The incidence of things going wrong are less but the downside of this procedure is that one may have to get cheek implants again and again based on one’s rate of ageing. Silicone is also not a completely safe material. One may also develop infections which require implant removal. Implant migration can also happen and will require a removal. Bone resorption (bone loss) has also been reported below solid facial implants.

Some cosmetic surgeons also opine that fat grafting gives a more natural-looking fullness to the cheek area than synthetic implants.

We advise that one tries out non-surgical options like injectible fillers first before going for cheek implants and consult a reputable surgeon.

Another thing to keep in mind is that one may have to go for cosmetic removal of under-eye hollows, jowls and nasolabial folds around the nose, along with silicone cheek implants. These 3 areas become more pronounced with age and it’s very important to focus on them first before getting implants. If this is not done, the face can take on a very artificial look.

Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Dear, if you tired very fast and feeling weakness. Then you will definitely recover from weakness by following these very useful tips. * you should take proper balanced diet first. That means you have to take vegetables, milk, chapattis or rice, butter / cream, cereals (daals) or cheese every day. Very important thing, do not miss or skip your meals at any cost and take meals on time. * proper 6-8 hours sleep is very important. If your sleep is less than 6 hours, then you feel tired very early. So complete your sleep. * do breathing execises daily in morning & evening. Just sit down in peaceful place, close your eyes, take deep and long breaths in and out. Do it atleast for 10-15 minutes daily. You can also do pranayams like anulom vilom for better results. *take a walk, in first walk normally for 10-15 minutes for 15 days. You can do it on treadmill also. * you can take ashvagandha churn of baidyanath 1 teaspoon with milk daily for 2 months atleast to get your strength back. * check out your haemoglobin level in 3 months, if it is low you get tired early. So get treatment of low haemoglobin (anemia). You need to have a diet and exercise plan based on your bmi, age & weight and sex, presence of any diseases. Please note that weight reduction cannot be achieved overnight or over a week/month as many ask. It is an ongoing process of reducing food intake and exercising to burn the calories you consume. There are exercises specific for each part of body like cheek, hips, thighs or abdomen/ buttocks, or chest. Comprehensive exercise & diet plan based on whether vegetarian /non vegetarian can be given. May also need to do some tests. In brief, weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs / chest etc. To burn off fat. Some tips 1) drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. As half of your diet. Then take 1/2 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. Should be just bare minimum. And do aerobic exercises, running, jogging or at least walking briskly 3-5 kms and swimming if possible, and in a gym if feasible. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise & dieting to take just as much food as needed for your activities. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests. By cutting 500 calories a day (a total of 3500 per week), and otherwise eating a balanced diet, you may find you lose approximately a pound a week. This rate of weight loss is considered reasonable and healthy. A diet chart timing foods to eat calories early morning lukewarm water with lemon 1 glass 0 tea without sugar + 2 biscuits 90 breakfast 2 rotis + 1/2 cup paneer curry 330 or brown bread upma 1 plate + milk 1 cup 300 mid-morning1 banana/1/2 cup melon/20 grapes 50 lunchbrown rice 1 cup (195 gm) + mixed vegetables 1/2 cup + salad 1 bowl + raita 1 small bowl 345 evening butter milk 1 cup 35 dinner2 rotis + vegetable soup 1 bowl + salad 1 bowl 370 total 1220/1190 cal.

Hye, Thanks for the query. Gaining weight requires you to eat more calories than you burn. Although fried or sugary foods are calorie dense, eating them exclusively won’t provide enough nutrition to keep you energetic and healthy. Eating several meals and snacks throughout the day and including nutritious, calorie-dense food will help you gain weight healthfully. Weight gain depends primarily on your genetics, age, weight and activity level. To gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. If you’re not used to eating large quantities of food at one time, you may find it difficult to fit all of your calories into three meals per day. Eating nutritious, calorie-dense foods every two to three hours will help you get your calories in without making you overly full and sluggish. If you tend to forget to eat or are always on the go, bring calorie-dense snacks such as eggs, mixed nuts, fruits and dairy. Nutritious, calorie-dense foods provide essential vitamins and minerals, which promote good health and energy. Adding ghee and cream to foods adds additional calories for very little extra physical bulk. Fruit juice, masala milk provides crucial nutrients. Meal-replacement shakes and protein powder sound like good options but also remember that unless your diet is not planned sadly they won't help.

I often sometimes feel dull, giddy, tired and not feeling like talking to anyone. I believe that it is happening because of Gluten intolerance. I am from india and our staple diet is wheat. What should I do? Does not happen every day. But usually I am ok for 2 days and the 3rd day I start feeling dull and tired. This process repeats itself time and again. Please suggest.

Hello, follow the below tips along with your routine exercises:- 1. Take phytolacca berry tablets (wsi), 2 tablets with warm water, three times a day, half an hour before meals. 2. Fatoline drops from haslab, 15 drops + 1/2 cup of warm water, twice a day. 3. Take 1 glass of luke warm water with lemon juice and honey in the morning for 15 days in a month. 4. Take 1 cup of green tea in the evening daily. 5. Do surya namaskar, yoga asans like bhujangasana (cobra pose), sarvangasana (shoulder stand pose, vajrasana (diamond pose), pavanamuktasana (wind-relieving pose), matsyasana (fish pose) 6. Avoid sweets, oily, spicy, junk food, chocolates. 7. Drink plenty of water daily. 8. Eat good quantity of green vegetables, salad and fruits.
