Please change your glasses. Take carrot daily twice in your diet. Limit your screen time staring at computers, tvs or phones in the evening before going to bed.

Hello. There is no medication or food for improving eye sight or to get rid of glasses. Get your vision tested and wear glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens b. Lasik laser as your age is now 20 years so your number will not increase now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik.

Hello lybrate-user. Sorry about your eyesight trouble. In order to get a" glasses free" vision, you could consider refractive surgery (lasik) as an option. The operations done to remove the refractive error (power) of the eyes are known as refractive surgery (lasik). There are certain basic criteria that most patients need to fulfill before they can safely undergo refractive surgery. To enumerate, they are: (1) stability of refraction: the power of the eyes should have become stable for a period of 1.5 years minimum without any change. (2) curvature of the cornea should be tested by a technique which is known as topography. (3) thickness of the cornea should be measured by a test known as pachymetry. The minimum thickness required is 550 microns. (4) dilated retina evaluation: this is one of the most important tests that should be performed by a trained retina specialist. This test helps in detection of any offensive lesion on the central or peripheral retina. In case of any retinal abnormality, these should be treated before undergoing the surgery for number reduction. (5) there should be no pre-existent corneal abnormality. (example: corneal scar, opacity, defect, etc.) another important suggestion is that whenever you go for the assessment (the above mentioned tests), you should discontinue the use of contact lenses at least 4 weeks prior to the assessment. The reason for this being that use of contact lens temporarily alters the contour of the cornea. It takes around 3-4 weeks for the restoration of the original corneal contour after removal of the contact lens. Another important point is that you, as a patient, should be compliant to put post operative medication in your eyes for at least 2 months. There is bound to be some discomfort, watering, foreign body sensation, pain after the surgery in most cases-you should be ready to tolerate that. A leave from work for 7-10 days after the surgery should be generally sufficient. Last but not the least, you should set realistic expectations from this surgery. Though extremely rare, there is a remote possibility that the surgery may need to be repeated. Also, the need for subsequent treatment for the eye may be required. T

Diabetes can be controlled with diet exercise and medicines. Take your medicines properly. You have to get eye check up done from an ophthalmologist, as diabetes affects retina. However, the refraction (specs number) can be different when sugars are very high.

I am a 45 years old female without any issues of diabetic or blood pressure. Underwent surgery on both the eye's for orbital thyroid fat removal. After the surgery there is alignment problem in both the eyes. Because of this it looks squint. My vision in both the eyes are good. Can this be cured? Went to many doctors but in vain no one wanted to help they said I should stay like this only. But I am finding it very difficult to lead a normal life with no self confidence at all. Please reply me if it can be solved and what would be the cost rough figure also will do.

I think you underwent decompression for thyroid exophthalmos, if you vision is equally good in both eyes there is no need to worry. Some apparent squint will be resolved with time as limitation of movement is over with resolution of orbital oedema. Donot worry much and keep in touch with your operating surgeon. How long it had been since you got the operation. I think you should Waite for 6 month before planning reoperation.

Is there a way to correct vision other than lasik surgery or wearing spectacle who is suffering from myopia.

Is there a way to correct vision other than lasik surgery or wearing spectacle who is suffering from myopia.
There is no direct medicine to remove glasses in myopia, only it can be removed by LASIK surgery. You may take balanced diet along with lots of green vegetables in addition to some multivitamin tab to keep eyes healthy,
