It depends on the surrounding circumstances and if you don't give proper rest to your eyes than the refractive error can increase.

Hi, make changes to your computer screen, such as: place the screen 20-26 inches away from your eyes and a little below eye level. Regularly clean off dust and fingerprints from the screen. Smudges on the screen can reduce contrast and increase problems with glare and reflections. Choose screens that tilt and swivel. Consider using a glare filter over your screen. Make changes to your work environment, such as: change lighting to reduce glare and harsh reflections. Use an adjustable chair. Place a document holder next to your computer screen. Make changes to your work habits, such as: try the 20-20-20 rule. Every 20 minutes, look away about 20 feet in front of you for 20 seconds. Post a note that says" blink" on the computer as a reminder. Take regular breaks from computer work. Take care of your eyes with these steps: apply a washcloth soaked in warm water to tired, dry eyes (with eyes closed). Use artificial tears to refresh your eyes when they feel dry. To help prevent dry eyes while working indoors, use an air cleaner to filter dust and a humidifier to add moisture to the air. Management: give sufficient rest to your eyes with proper sleep. Keep yourself hydrated with intake of 10-12 glasses of water in a day. Eat healthy especially vitamin a rich food (green vegetables, carrots, yellow fruits and vegetables) and avoid junk food. Hold tap water in your flexed palm, dip your one eye closer to the water level, shut and open your eyelids often. Do the same with your other eye. Repeat this whole process 1-2 times more in a day. Give your eyes proper rest. Can keep slices of cucumber or potato or used tea bags over the closed eyes for sometime. Medication: instill 2 drops of euphrasia eye drops in each eye twice daily.

You can take methotrexate injections into the eye. There will always be a very small risk of problems, but the dose injected into the eye is tiny compared to systemic dosing so risk is also very small but no non-existent.

Masturbation does not causes diminution of vision. Instructions for computer use: Take frequent breaks while you are working Every 20-25 mins take break to look away from screen Blink more frequently' Level of screen should be below the level of eyes Ac should not blow directly on your face. Also get your eyes checked for any spectacle power Here are the instructions for mobile phone use: 1. Blink, blink and blink again. Blinking often (and for more than a second) keeps your eyes moist and reduces dryness and irritation. We tend blink about a third less than we normally would when we stare at our smartphone screens, which starves our poor peepers of protective tears. Keep your eyes wet by blinking about 10 times every 20 minutes or so and you should be good to go. 2. Minimize glare. Unless you have a smartphone equipped with anti-glare Corning Gorilla Glass or use a matte screen protector film, you’re probably coping with a fair amount of annoying reflective glare. 3. Take breaks. Follow 20-20-20 rule. The concept is to take a break from looking at your screen every 20 minutes for 20 seconds while looking at something 20 feet away. Doing so relaxes your eye muscles 4. Adjust your brightness. Having your screen too bright or too dark stresses your eyes out and can cause problems maintaining focus. To eliminate either issue in about a matter of seconds, simply go into your smartphone settings and adjust your screen brightness so it’s about the same as the light level in the environment around you 5. Tweak your text size and contrast. Adjusting your smartphone text contrast and size also provides a little much-needed relief. 6. Keep a clean screen. Routinely wipe down your smartphone screen with a dry (not wet!) cleaning cloth to remove distracting dust, grime, smudges and fingerprints. 7. Hold your smartphone farther away. Try holding yours at least 16 to 18 inches away from your eyes to give your eyes a break. Eat healthy food Avoid junk food.

Hi. Eye fatigue or eye strain is a common and annoying condition. The symptoms include tired, itching, and burning eyes. But sometimes eye fatigue is a sign of an underlying condition that may need medical treatment. If eye fatigue persists despite taking simple precautions, see your doctor. This is especially important if your eye fatigue is associated with headaches or with eye problems such as: discomfort double vision significant change in vision any activity that requires intense use of the eyes -- such as extended amounts of driving or reading -- can cause eye fatigue. These include extended periods of: reading writing driving exposure to bright light or straining to see in dim light can also cause eye fatigue. One of the most common causes of eye fatigue is staring for long periods at digital devices such as: computer screens smartphones video games during sleep, the eyes are replenished with essential nutrients. Lack of sleep may result in persistent eye irritation. Management: eyestrain is quite common after using mobile or laptop for a long time. It's always advisable to keep taking frequent small breaks after every 1 hour, keep eyes blinking frequently to avoid excessive dryness of the eyes. Give sufficient rest to your eyes with proper sleep. Keep yourself hydrated with intake of 10-12 glasses of water in a day. Eat healthy specially vitamin a rich food (green vegetables, carrots, yellow fruits and vegetables) and avoid junk food. Hold tap water in your flexed palm, dip your one eye closer to the water level, shut and open your eyelids often. Do the same with your other eye. Repeat this whole process 1-2 times more in a day. Eyes get red due to Straining of eyes.It can be annoying, but it tends to disappear with rest. Although it’s not often a serious condition, eye strain could be a symptom of an underlying problem. Eye strain is known to cause fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and headaches Eye strain may lead to other problems, such as: • Headaches • Difficulty Concentrating • Irritability • Burning Sensation • Watery Eyes • Dry Eyes • Photophobia • Eye Pain The first thing you can do is change your environment and work habits. By doing this you can relieve the pain without spending money on treatment. If you work on the computer, try taking more eye breaks by looking down the hall or out the window, or by closing your eyes for thirty seconds. You should get your eyes checked at least once a year, especially as you grow older. Routine eye exams give you the opportunity to discuss with your Eye Specialist any issues you may be having, and they may enable you to catch any problems in their early stages. Age Frequency 0 to 6 months Minimum of once a year 6 months to 18 years Every 2 – 4 years 19 to 39 years Every 3 – 5 years 40 to 64 years Every 2 – 4 years 65 and older Every 1 – 2 years If you spend a lot of time sitting in front of a computer or reading, you may need prescription glasses solely for those activities. If you work on a computer, taking eye breaks for five minutes every hour can lessen the strain on your eyes. Simply closing your eyes for a few moments can also do wonders. Try standing up, moving around, or taking a short walk to help regain concentration.Regular eye exercises that involve focusing on different distances can help prevent future straining. Blink often. Blinking refreshes and replenishes your eyes naturally. If you are having trouble with blinking due to the dryness of your eyes, try using Homoeopathic CINELUBE EYEDROPS ( HAPDCO) 3 times daily.

Hello lybrate-user. I feel you should give some time and rest your eyes. Usually, there is minor inflammation in the eye that normally occurs after surgery. It tends to settle down in 2 weeks. So allow the eyes to settle and then it would be better idea to jump to any conclusion. It is possible that this issue will get resolved by itself within 2 weeks time. Also mention the problem to the surgeon who has performed the cataract surgery so that he/ she can have a look at the eye and position of the lens in the eye. For the time being, relax and don't worry. Take care.
