Polycystic ovary means your daughters overy has many cysts. Usually follicles mature and one ovary burst and ovum is released on 14th day of menstrual cycle. In your daughter's case this follicles does not mature more than 6-7mm, it shows a shape of ring and looks like pearl. And ovulation doesn't happen. This is a hormonal issue. This diseases shows obesity, some has abnormal growth of hair on her chest and face, hair fall, pimples, diabetes, thyroid etc. Cure is possible through homoeopathic medicines but take time. Need to treat this properly so that complications doesn't happen later like infertility etc.

Eating under stress of doing a night job? eat apple as a snack instead of yummy burger, green tea / some cups of coffee with little milk but no sugar, avoid sugars and fats, take your own tiffins of assorted fruits and salads, roasted chane can be eaten to give you proteins along with some nuts as they are filling and one does not feel hungry for hours after eating a katori. Same holds true about a boiled egg per day/ night if you are an egg eater, remember only 1 egg / day. When you come back from work, you require 8 hours of sleep and may be that leaves little time to exercise, you have to be disciplined to put in an extra hour for simple exercises that rejuvinate you but not tire you to face another hard day or a night on the job. You should reduce only about 10 kgs in 3 months and maintain it at around 53 kg for a height 5'1' crash dieting is harmful.

Relationship Between Sexually Direct Media and Sexually Risk Behaviors in Homosexuals

MS sexuality, M.Phil Clinical Psychology, PhD (behaviour modification), Certified in Treatment of Resistant Depression
Sexologist, Hyderabad
Relationship Between Sexually Direct Media and Sexually Risk Behaviors in Homosexuals

Older studies have indicated that viewing sexually direct media might be associated with sexual risk behaviors in men who have sex with men or homosexuas. However, most prior research has not explored this association cross-culturally or the potential influence that important a variable that is possibly predictive of the outcome under study might have on the association. The aim is to explore the association between self-reports of viewing Sexually explicit media depicting various sexual risk behaviors and engagement in sexual risk behaviors after controlling for relevant a variable that is possibly predictive of the outcome under study in India.

200 hundred Men who have sex with men participated in a survey, Sexually direct media consumption was surprisingly frequent in Men who have sex with men in India. Viewing a larger proportion of Sexually direct media showing sexual risk behaviors was associated with a larger number of regular partners with whom Men who have sex with men or homosexuals reported engaging in sexual risk behaviors, but not with the number of casual partners. HIV-related knowledge and seeking male sex partners were associated with the number of regular partners with whom homosexuals had engaged in sexual risk behaviors. Seeking sexual sensation, HIV-related knowledge, and seeking male sex partners were associated with the number of casual partners with whom Men who have sex with men had engaged in sexual risk behaviors.

Further research exploring the relation between Sexually explicit direct use and sexual health risk behaviors should considered important psychological and behavioral a variable that is possibly predictive of the outcome, as sexually transmitted infections are on the rise in our country.

My wife is 6 months pregnancy. Please tell me good diet for her also suggest me precautions.

DNHE, Fellowship in Cardiac Rehabilitation, BHMS
Homeopath,
My wife is 6 months pregnancy. Please tell me good diet for her also suggest me precautions.
Diets at 6 months of pregnancy: 1. Protein: this important nutrient should be a part of her daily diet. However, she should avoid fatty fish and the skin, also meat fat. It is in fact a good idea to avoid too much meat, and especially red meat. 2. Carbohydrates: a portion or two a day of carbohydrates is recommended during pregnancy. But keep in mind that this depends on how much weight she has gained. You should go for: potatoes, pasta, sweet corn, seeds and nuts, oats 3. Dairy products: yoghurt, cheese and milk (for calcium rich diet) 4. Take plenty of fluids 5. Vegetables: beetroot cabbage asparagus spinach carrots pumpkin turnip eggplant/brinjal green beans tomatoes 4. Fruits: bananas, grapes, apples, pears, oranges follow the below diets chart: breakfast 1 cup of low-fat milk 2 pieces of kaak 1 orange snack #1 1 small whole-wheat hotdog bun 2 tbsp peanut butter topped with thinly sliced banana lunch a bowl of mixed salad 1 cup of rice or pasta or 1 medium baked potato 2 cups of stew prepared with meat or chicken, or a piece of grilled fish filet snack #2 4 dried apricots or 3 dates 1 cup of plain yoghurt or fruit flavored yogurt dinner a bowl of vegetable soup cheese or egg sandwich made with brown bread snack #3: 1 glass of low fat milk 1 cup of whole grain breakfast cereals avoid: caffeine and alcoholic drinks undercooked meats and spicy foods non pasteurized cheeses smoking.

Pelvic Floor Dysfunction - Things You Should Know About it

MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Agra
Pelvic Floor Dysfunction - Things You Should Know About it

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles in your pelvic area. These muscles support the organs in your pelvis like a sling. The organs in this area include the bladder, uterus (women), prostate (men) and rectum (the area at the end of the large intestine where your body stores solid waste). By contracting and relaxing these muscles, you control your bowel and bladder movements.

What is pelvic floor dysfunction?

When you are unable to control the muscles in your pelvic floor to have a bowel movement, it is called pelvic floor dysfunction. People with pelvic floor dysfunction contract these muscles rather than relax them. Because of this, they cannot have a bowel movement or they have an incomplete one.

It is important to be aware of the symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction as there is no comprehensive list of causes. However, it can be said that traumatic injuries to the pelvic area seems to have a rather higher preponderance among the causes of pelvic floor dysfunction, which is also known as PFD. While giving birth to a child is an experience that is life changing, the potential downside is that it can be one of the causes of pelvic floor dysfunction in women!

Other symptoms include feeling the need to urinate often and then finding the process to be quite painful. Constipation which occurs in spite of a diet, which contains enough roughage is a sign, as well, that it is about time that a person should schedule an appointment with the doctor.

Medication is a possible solution and is usually in the form of a muscle relaxant of a low intensity. However, it is great for a person who has the misfortune of having pelvic floor dysfunction to know that there are solutions which are completely bereft of the need of any form of medication!

Cure for Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

Reducing the effects of pelvic floor dysfunction can be quite simple, really. Warm baths and some kegel exercises are suggested on a subjective basis are quite common. This is a process called biofeedback.

Biofeedback aims to retrain the pelvic floor so that there is far better functioning. The success of this method is well known to a specialist, it has vastly improved the pelvic floor dysfunction conditions of more than 75% of the patients significantly!

The method works by observing the workings of the pelvic floor and then providing feedback regarding its coordination as it expands and contracts. Some of the many things which make this method truly great are that it is non-invasive and non-medical. As a matter of fact, taking into due account its success rate, people should really give it a shot before they try medication or surgery.

Surgery

Surgery is said to be effective in the case of rectocele. Nevertheless, this is the last resort as it is always better to sort out such problems sans having to resort to surgery. Multidisciplinary approaches which involve fields such as psychology are good options. Pelvic floor dysfunction is something that is a pain to have, but it really need not be!

My wife delivered a child on 23rd of December 2015. Is it safe to have sex without any protection during 2 to 3 months after birth. Or is it a myth.

Diploma in Family Medicine, M.Sc - Psychotherapy

Yes it is a myth that women do not get pregnant during breast feeding months. Some women get pregnant when before they get their next menstrual period. It is better to always use protection,

Your developing baby is protected by the amniotic fluid in your uterus, as well as the strong muscles of the uterus itself. Sexual activity won't affect your baby. So it is completely safe to sex during pregnancy.

Yes, you can still enjoy a mug of coffee every now and then during your pregnancy. Just make sure that you don't have limited caffeine in a day. That's two mugs of instant coffee or one mug of brewed coffee at the max. If you regularly have more caffeine a day while you're pregnant, you'll have a higher risk of miscarriage or having a baby with a low birth weight. Babies born with a low birth weight are at increased risk of health problems when they get older.
