I am 22 years old from hyderabad my question is I had a tendon injury to right hand 3 fingers, surgery done on feb this year. Doc said tht only one zone of surgery done another 2 zone have to do. Till now unable to fist the hand have to do again surgery?

I would like to examine the patient in detail & investigate. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days

Hi lybrate-user. Your symptoms suggest that you have tibial shin pain. Try to consult ortho/physiotherapist for further foot evaluation. Start icing over painful area thrice a day and stretch your calf muscle. Change your shoes or insert a medial wedge insole into shoes for flat foot correction. Thanks.

As per your description if you back pain aggravate by walking and stretching mostly it is due to compression in your nerves - sciatica disease you have to be take precaution like maintain normal posture while sitting. Avoid long sitting and long route driving. Avoid forward bending. Take care of your digestive system means you shouldn't have constipation or gas problem. Apply some medicated oil on your back and do hot fomentation.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned pain in lower back region as your main problem. You are actually very young to have persistent pain. If there is only localized pain in back region with no other associated symptoms like radiating pain, numbness, paresthesias etc, and no systemic symptoms like fever, loss of appetite, loss of weight etc, my advice to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or even tab paracetamol which suits you - intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied 3-4 times in a day - analgesic spray for local application like dynapar qps spray can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc in case you are having back pain. If there is no improvement in 2-3 weeks with this conservative management, we will need to evaluate you further in form of dynamic x rays to look for any instability as a cause for pain and some blood investigations to rule out any deficiencies etc. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Was the pill taken afterwards. If that resulted in bleeding. More than usual. You should consult gynaecologist then. Otherwise you can try any muscle relaxant cream or pill. Consult a physician or orthopaedic surgeon.
