I have a back pain while I woke up in the morning and also in the night when I go to sleep what should I do?
Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Neck exercises. Neck stretching. Postural correction. Shoulder shrugs. Take frequent breaks at work. Core strenthening exercises. Use cervical pillow.

Do any exercise which you enjoy and it should not cause any pain (cycling, swimming or yoga). Do not starve to loose weight. It should be slow and steady process. Stop eating three types of food - 1. Sugar or any food item which has added sugar. 2. Rice. 3. Wheat or food items made up of wheat. Let me know the result after 3 months.

Hi I have lower back pain recurring sometimes, resulting into bed rest. MRI report shows mild disk bulging and ortho doctor prescribed few yoga poses and Vitamin-D and one more muscle relaxant tablet. I still do have mild pain if I sit in Indian style toilet, but not intense, in the morning and it goes away towards the afternoon. Are there any other tests or consultation that you may would like to suggest?

Hi, I am here to help you. Please follow the following precautions 1. Avoid forward bending 2. Avoid lifting heavy weights 3. Only western toilets should be used. Avoid indian toilets. You can use what is called a" commode" with indian toilets. It is basically a chair with a hole in the centre 4. Sit only in chairs. Avoid sitting in floor. 5. Sleep in cot. Avoid sleeping in floor 6. Change posture frequently. Avoid sitting / sleeping n same posture. 7. Travel by train. Avoid long distance travel in cars, buses. Hope you found the answer helpful.

Hello. My mother is 60 years old and she is having pain in her knees from past few days. We consulted the doctor and he suggested a sachet medicine named 'ezycart sachet . It has non vegetarian constituents as it has Red mark over the packet. Salt name is "Collagen Peptides" Can you please suggest me an alternative medicine / sachet with the same salt which is vegetarian . Also she is diabetic so please suggest something sugar free. (Like ezycart is sugar free)

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

I am suffering from both knee joint pain for past 6 years. Doctor prescribed freeflex tablet, jointace tablet, osicards tablet, etc At present for the past 3 months I'm taking cartigen fort twice a day. I feel fain relief much, only when I walk I feel pain. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

Dear lybrate-user you have a problem with your tm joint - jaw bone joint and so apply ice for 20 min and rest is needed. So eat soft food easy to chew and take some painkillers. If not getting ok then visit a doctor.

Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day. Avoid junk food. Spicy food. Fermented food. Tea. Coffee.Avoid alcohol consumption(if u consume). Do pranayama early morning.

Hi do not lift heavy weights. There are multiple causes for shoulder pain like. Muscular, tendonitis, ligament tear etc. It will be good if you visit physiotherapist or orthopaedic doctor for diagnosis. Meanwhile apply cold pack for 20 minutes thrice a day for 5 days.
