Hi, I recently got my ultrasound done and my liver size seems to be abnormal. It is 20 cm and the report says grade 2 fatty liver. I have been following a reckless lifestyle for some years. I was on anti depressants/anti psychotics for 4 years too. I also have iron deficiency, my haemoglobin count is 12.9. I would like to know if grade 2 fatty liver is curable and how serious it could be. Other symptoms include: 1) frequent bowel movements and going to the bathroom few minutes after eating. 2) fatigue ness 3) cramps 4) pain in testicles while coughing 5) frequent sounds of cracking joints. Family history father had diabetes.

How To Eat Healthy With A Hectic Schedule?

How To Eat Healthy With A Hectic Schedule?

"I don't have time" is one of the most common excuses heard for living an unhealthy lifestyle. When you're working at a full-time job, it is often easier to order in from a restaurant and spend the evening watching television to 'cool off' instead of cooking a healthy meal and hitting the gym. However, a busy lifestyle does not necessarily need to be unhealthy.

Here are a few simple tips to live a healthier life -

1. Cook one-pot meals

Cooking doesn't have to be complicated. Experiment with your microwave settings and recipes to find quick meals that can be made in under a minute like quiche in a mug or steamed salmon. Making pasta can be as easy as putting all the ingredients in together into a pot and letting them cook. Find recipes that require minimal grocery shopping and preparation.

2. Take the stairs

Elevators are definitely a convenience and cannot be avoided if your office or home is on the 10th floor. To balance convenience and health, get off the elevator a floor or two below yours and climb up the remaining stairs. Obviously working up a sweat by climbing stairs at the beginning of your day at work isn't a good idea so time your stair climbs at the end of the day or when a shower is nearby.

3. Avoid snacking

Eat proper meals instead of mindlessly snacking through the day. Keeping a food diary can help you recognize your eating habits and rectify them. If three meals a day do not satiate your hunger, break your meals into smaller portions eaten at more frequent intervals. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and should never be skipped.

4. Drink plenty of water

Often we snack not because we're hungry but because the body is dehydrated. Water can also boost your energy levels and aid digestion. However, avoid filling your stomach with water before a meal to make you eat less. This can hinder your digestion process and keep your body from receiving its necessary nutrients.

5. Cut back on packaged foods

Packaged food is never really all that good for you. In most cases, it is loaded with sugar, sodium, preservatives and artificial flavouring. If you cannot avoid packaged food, pick the one with minimal ingredients.

6. Interval training

Spending an hour at the gym is not the only way to exercise. If you cannot find time for a full workout, try interval training. Get off the couch during intervals while watching your favourite soap or take a quick five-minute break from your desk to exercise. Regular exercise will also help you sleep better and make you wake up feeling refreshed.

Hi. I am 27 years old. I am blessed with a baby girl. She is one month old now. She is suffering with motion. Daily 10-15 times she is going motion. Even she is peeing a lot. Yes your baby is perfectly okay. 10-15 motions is normal. And so is the urination. A new born can urinate upto 10 times a day. Its good that mother is the only source of her nutrition. Keep it up till she is 6 months old, take a good diet. Happy motherhood to you.

Fruit - Is There An Appropriate To Have It?

Fruit - Is There An Appropriate To Have It?

Undoubtedly eating fruits contribute to good health and provides a range of other benefits for your body. Nevertheless, you must follow some simple guidelines so that you eat fruits the right way. Eating fruits as and when you like doesn't do much good. Therefore it is essential to know when and how to consume fruits in order to fully benefit from it.

Right time to eat fruits:

1. Eating fruits first thing in the morning is preferable as you gain all the nutrients your body requires; which keeps you nourished and energized. Eating fruits on an empty stomach promote good health and help you shed the extra kilos. Additionally, it also prevents digestive problems and keeps you in good shape as your body fully absorbs all the vitamins, good carbohydrates and fibre present in the fruits.

2. Eating fruits between breakfast and lunch is also an option that can help you maintain a proper diet. If you choose to have your fruit helping after breakfast, it is essential to adjust the proportion and time of both the meals accordingly. A fruit helping after breakfast should keep you full for at least two hours, thereby ensuring proper digestion. Make sure you balance your meals accordingly and do not end up overeating

Why fruits should be avoided after meals:

1. Even though fruits have high nutrition value, it also contains calories. If you consume a bowl of fruits just after your meal, chances are that your body may get more calories than it requires. No matter how healthy fruits are, eating them after meals can cause significant weight gain. Also, it is essential to keep in mind to not make your diet fruit heavy as then your body is deprived of nutrition present in meats, vegetables, dairy products and whole grains.

2. It is of utmost importance that you avoid eating fruits just before going to bed. Fruits contain a lot of sugar which can, in turn, increase your energy levels thereby keeping you awake when you need to sleep instead.

Your baby is learning the skill of sucking. Take it slow and easy. Milk production depends on the sucking of the infant. More sucking more production, beside this take a good diet with adequate proteins, include foods such as dryfruits, paneer, eggs and milk and lots of fluids in diet.
