Hi Lybrate user, I would suggest you to avoid fried, desserts, pickles and junk foods. Drink lots of water whole day to keep yourself hydrated and also overcome acne issues. You can easily have chicken and eggs in your diet, just avoid eating it fried. For acne, I would suggest you to gently rub the mixture of sulfur+coconut oil+kapur on your acne and keep it overnight. Use multani mitti/ besan (if suits you) instead of face washes and soaps to clean. Its a slow process will take a few months to recover so keep doing this regularly with patience and you will get good results. Good luck!

How can I get rid of acne scars (dark spots all over my cheeks) and reduce pits on my face?

How can I get rid of acne scars (dark spots all over my cheeks) and reduce pits on my face?
Hello. The scars and the pigmentation on the face are treatable. It's better to get it examined first so that we can identify the type of skin, scars and if they are hyper pigmented, atrophic or ice pick scars. The treatment are of various kind like ranging from simple scrubs and mild peels for the face to the major interventions such as laser therapy, dermaroller, subcision or peeling. These depend on the type of the scars and which kind you opt for. You can consult me online or text me with pictures for further details.

5 Homeopathic Remedies for Treating Eczema!!

5 Homeopathic Remedies for Treating Eczema!!

Eczema is an autoimmune disorder wherein the skin overreacts to certain triggers in or outside the body resulting in inflammation and lesions. Eczema is also known as atopic dermatitis. The skin becomes dry, patchy and rough, and it tends to form itchy and red blisters. Eczema is usually caused due to inflammation; in most cases, allergy triggers eczema. It has been observed that quite often, patients who suffer from eczema have a family history of allergy. In some cases, patients having other allergies, may also develop eczema. Apart from this, low immunity triggers this disease.

Symptoms

  • Red patches over skin
  • Dry rough skin with blisters
  • Intense itching on skin, with occasional bleeding
  • Formation of a thick leather-like layer over the affected areas of the skin
  • Discharge of an oozing watery and sticky liquid from the affected area, in case of wet eczema (In case of dry eczema, there is no watery discharge; the skin stays rough and dry.)

Treating eczema with homeopathy
Treating eczema might be possible by taking several medications. But treating doesn't mean curing. People who suffer from eczema know how irritating the disorder is. So they want a cure for eczema, which is possible with homeopathic medicines. Homeopathy is known for curing eczema, from the root. Basically, homeopathy helps to improve the immune system, as low immunity is responsible for causing allergies. When immunity is built, and low immunity quits from overreacting to several reactions, eczema is cured.

Here are five homeopathic medicines suitable for treating eczema:

  1. Graphites: Graphites is one of the finest homeopathic medicines for treating wet eczema, when there is thick, oozing watery and sticky discharge. In most cases, the patient with this type of eczema suffers from constipation and obesity. He or she might be sensitive towards cold. Their usual skin becomes hard and cold, but the affected area remains dry and rough. The remedy is prescribed mostly to women with menstrual disorders.
  2. Mezereum: This is the suitable for patients with eczema, which tends to form a leathery crust on the head. The patient might feel intense itching especially at night.
  3. Hepar sulphur: This is suitable for eczema with formation of pus. The patient is usually too sensitive to cold. Intense itching, sneezing and sensitivity towards cold are the symptoms, which indicate the need for this medicine.
  4. Dulcamara: This is one of the finest homeopathic medicines for eczema, which aggravates in damp or cold weather. Thick formation of yellowish crust and intense itching are the symptoms, which clearly indicate the need for this remedy.
  5. Sulphur: This one is suitable for eczema with burning sensation along with intense itching. Symptoms usually worsen in summer and the skin feels rough and dry.

Acne - How Effective Is Homeopathy For It?

Acne, also known as pimples, is a skin disorder caused due to inflammation in the skin's hair follicles and sebaceous glands. Acne may also cause permanent scars on your skin. It usually occurs in teenagers going through puberty due to the production of high levels of hormone that clog pores. Many women also get premenstrual acne which, as the name suggests, are caused after ovulation due to excessive release of progesterone. Most pimples are found on the face, shoulders, back, chest and neck. Apart from hormones, pimples are also caused due to genes, amassing of dead skin cells, bacteria, birth control pills, certain medications, greasy medication and so on. Although acnes do not pose a serious risk to your health, it may cause scars and look displeasing. There are many different types of acne such as acne vulgaris, baby acne, acne rosacea, acne cosmetic, chloracne, acne medicamentosa, etc.

Since the causes of acne in people vary from person to person, homeopathy treatment for acne is one of the best options as the remedy for acne is individualized to the person.

Homeopathy has a great success rate when it comes to removing pimples and eliminating the chances of reoccurrence. Homeopaths prescribe the treatments depending on the symptoms. Mentioned below are a few homeopathic treatments for acne.

  1. Sulphur: Sulphur is the most common homeopathic treatment for acne, especially if the skin condition is chronic. Apart from clearing your acne and giving you a glowing skin, sulphur also helps to remove your tendency to develop acne. It clears acne within a few months. Sulphur is usually the first choice because it treats almost all types of acne.
  2. Hepar Sulph: Pustular acne is the type of acne which is painful to touch and contains pus. They bleed easily and are very sensitive; usually forming a cluster on the forehead with discharges.
  3. Calcarea Sulph: Calcarea Sulph is used to treat severe cystic acne. This acne persists for weeks and heals at a very slow pace, following which, a creamy and yellowish pus is drained. These types of pimples are mainly found on the face, near the hairline as well as ears. Calcarea sulph is a very effective treatment.

Do not worry, keep feeding your baby breast milk. You should maintain hygiene while giving external suppliments. Prepare them fresh and throw away the remaining after 1-2 hrs. You can talk to your doctor if it does not stop in 1- 2 days or if your baby is not active. You can add Homeopathy if there are recurrent complaints.

Hi my kid has headache while traveling by car. What could be the reason and what is the remedy?

Hi my kid has headache while traveling by car. What could be the reason and what is the remedy?
Hi lybrate-user, here are some solutions for you. 1. Peppermint. Have a mint or drink some peppermint tea, it can really take the edge off! 2. Willow bark. Known as the natural alternative to aspirin, willow bark is actually what aspirin was originally made from. It contains the pain-relieving compound salicin, and is one of the most common natural remedies for headaches. You can make a tea out of willow bark root for instant relief. 3. Take a nap. Ever notice how the world seems renewed after a nap? Sometimes just a simple power nap is enough for your body to reboot and squash your headache. 4. Eat something! Headaches are often a sign that you’ve gone too long without eating a balanced meal. In fact, my last headache is a good example: I’d gotten caught up in working and hadn’t eaten in a while. Next thing you know, I had a raging headache pounding my brain. Needless to say, I couldn’t work much after that. An ounce of prevention is definitely worth a pound of cure in this case! Hope this helps. Good luck.

Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this - 1) Do Complete blood count with differential and X-ray sinus and do a physical examination by an ENT doctor. 2) Do take paracetamol-500 mg for headache and use oxymetazoline nasal drops to clear nasal passages. 3) Avoid upper respiratory infections. Minimize contact with people who have colds. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, especially before your meals. 4) Carefully manage your allergies. Work with your doctor to keep symptoms under control. Avoid cigarette smoke and polluted air. Tobacco smoke and air contaminants can irritate and inflame your lungs and nasal passages. 5) Use a humidifier. If the air in your home is dry, such as it is if you have forced hot air heat, adding moisture to the air may help prevent sinusitis. Be sure the humidifier stays clean and free of mold with regular, thorough cleaning Hope that helps and follow with test reports.

HI, Hi, Instead of popping a pill, try these natural cures to relieve your headaches. Their efficacy proves that you can find relief outside of a bottle. 1. Peppermint Oil: Apply this oil to your hairline; it creates a cooling sensation that relaxes the muscles in your head and neck. 2. Ginger Tea: You can buy fresh ginger at your local grocery store. Crush up an inch of ginger root and add it to boiling water. This homemade tea reduces inflammation in about the same amount of time as it would take an aspirin to work. 3. Acupressure Massage - This ancient Chinese healing method involves applying pressure to certain points on the body to relieve pain. Place your finger in the depression between your first and second toe and press firmly for 3 to 5 minutes. 4. Magnesium: When taken daily, magnesium may help reduce the frequency of migraines. The mineral helps to calm nerves, which tend to get overexcited during a migraine. Some studies have found that migraine sufferers tend to be deficient in magnesium. You'll likely need more than the average multi-vitamin contains or about 400 to 600 milligrams a day. Look for amino acid-chelated magnesium (many brands contain magnesium oxide, which is not absorbed as well). You can also increase your magnesium by eating dark green vegetables, nuts and seeds. 5. Vitamin D: Vitamin D deficiency is becoming more common, as people spend more time indoors or avoiding the sun. Whether that is contributing to migraines is unknown, but studies have shown that vitamin D may play a role in the way you perceive pain. Most people can safely take about 2,000 milligrams a day. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Hi, The main causes are less intake of water, low fiber diet and sedentary lifestyle. Take 1tsf of Isabgol powder mixed in a glass of hot water and drink it immediately at bedtime. Drink 2-3 litres of water per day and include plenty of fiber in your diet like raw vegetables, greens, sprouts, fruits, oats, etc. Walk daily for one hour either in the morning or in the evening. Be active.
