Love Your Heart - 15 Ways You Can Keep it Healthy

Let's understand the function of our heart and how to keep it healthy! Our heart is a muscular organ, located just behind and slightly left of the breast bone. It pumps blood through the network of arteries and veins called the cardiovascular system.

The heart has four chambers:

  1. The right atrium receives blood from the veins and pumps it to the right ventricle.
  2. The right ventricle receives blood from the right atrium and pumps it to the lungs, where it is loaded with oxygen.
  3. The left atrium receives oxygenated blood from the lungs and pumps it to the left ventricle.
  4. The left ventricle (the strongest chamber) pumps oxygen rich blood to the rest of the body. The left ventricle’s vigorous contractions create our blood pressure. The foods you eat, the amount of activity you do as well as your lifestyle can dramatically affect the overall health of your heart along with many other tissues that make up your cardiovascular system. Unhealthy eating habits can lead to various Heart Disorders.

Let’s look at the ways to keep it healthy!

  1. Healthy mind healthy body, so it is important that you take peaceful 7 to 8 hours of sleep.
  2. Keep yourself out of stress, involve yourself in regular some stress buster activities.
  3. Keep a check on your Blood Pressure.
  4. Cut your saturated fat intake and make an effort to check the ingredients of your intake. Too much of bad cholesterol can clog the heart and arteries with dangerous plaque.
  5. Keep a control on your blood sugar level.
  6. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day, if you're doing nothing, do something and if you're doing something, do extra.
  7. Eat more fruit and less fruit juice.
  8. Control obesity and keep your body mass index(BMI) in controlled level to be fit.
  9. Quit smoking as soon as you can and get yourself into having something else that you like at regular intervals, which is healthy.
  10. Cut your calorie intake and cut your sugar sweetened soda and keep check on all your sweet temptations.
  11. Eat lot of Seafood.
  12. Find ways to keep yourself happy and out of worries, be with lively people.
  13. Breathe slowly and deeply for a few minutes a day.
  14. Get yourself into Yoga.
  15. Keep a regular check of your hearth health under your doctor’s guidance.

Hello, PCOS or pcod s a problem in which a woman's hormones are out of balance. It can cause problems with your periods and make it difficult to get pregnant. PCOS also may cause unwanted changes in the way you look. If it isn't treated, over time it can lead to serious health problems, such as diabetes and heart disease. The most common symptoms are: Acne.Weight gain and trouble losing weight.Extra hair on the face and body.Thinning hair or even hair loss on scalp.Irregular periods. Often women with PCOS have fewer than nine periods a year. Some women have no periods. Others have very heavy bleeding.Fertility problems. Brisk Walking, jogging, dance or aerobics are great exercise that most people can do.Eat heart-healthy foods. This includes lots of vegetables, fruits, nuts, beans, and whole grains. It limits foods that are high insaturated fat, such as meats, cheeses, and fried foods.Most women who have PCOS can benefit from losing weight. Even losing 5kg may help get your hormones in balance, regulate your menstrual cycle and can make you ovulate.

Hello If symptoms are sneezing, Running nose, blocked nose 1.Take proper rest/ lot of fluids 2. and Take proper home made diet. 3. Do Steam inhalation carefully by steam inhaler twice a day for 2-3 days, 4. Dear lybrate user, increasing weight does not mean that you will go fatty. In fact, extra fat serves as a precursor of many diseases. In order to increase your weight as well as stay healthy you have to increase the muscle mass of your body. Normally a muscle undergoes an increase in size when it gets hypertrophied due to weight training. Weight-training leads to the pumping of blood to the muscle resulting in increased protein synthesis in the muscles. This applies to every muscles of human body. So, weight training is a must to increase weight. Whenever a muscle gets hypertrophied it demands protein to expand. Here comes the need of protein supplement. The most effective protein supplement is whey protein. But kindly remember only taking supplement is not enough. You need to take those supplements according to a fixed schedule. For quicker & better results take 40 grams of whey just after waking from sleep at morning. Take another 20 grams of whey just 30 minutes before workout. Again take 40 grams of whey just after you have finished your workout. Kindly remember gaining weight is a time -taking process. So do not expect any result within fortnight.

Hi, take cap, nasollerin 1-1-1 after food for 2-3 days. Avoid cold and refrigerated food. Drink boiled and cooled water. Take steam inhalation by adding 1 or 2 drops of eucalyptus oil to boiling water. Wear warm clothing. Avoid intake of sweets and oil fried food. Take koflet cough syrup 2 tsf 3 times a day for about a week.

After Consulting you can continue or stop medicine. *Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, cold drinks, pickles, fish, poultry, meat, spinach, and chocolate. *Avoid sour, heavy, and dry food. *Increase intake of liquids like water, juice, soup, lime water, etc. *Be sure to drink enough water each day. Usually 1 to 2 liters of water per day is adequate. *Drink more if you are perspiring heavily, working outdoors, the weather is hot, etc. *Increase the use of barley, horse gram (a type of bean), ginger, and brown rice or parboiled rice. *Avoid suppressing urges to urinate and defecate.

If the weight gain has increased drastically without making any evident change in food and other physical activities. I recommended you to get your thyroid levels checked. Still for basic weight loss to be achieved maintains a balanced diet of not more than 1500 calories per day. 1. Refined sugars in coffee and tea should be completely stopped, shift to multigrain chapatti instead of only wheat based and have more complex crabs in your snacks time like roasted grain and salads. 2.2serving of fruits should be included but keep the serving size maximum to 1 at one time. 3. Include 1-2 portions of proteins in form of tofu, paneer, sprouts and oat meals daily in the evening time to manage the intake of carbohydrates after 7: 30 pm. 4. Maintain a good balanced of carbohydrates, fats and protein to the ratio and include a cardio session of 45 mins daily for at least 5 days a week to maintain a good health overall.

Please do treadmill for at least 60 minutes daily. Keep moving as much as you can whenever you can. Keep meal portions small especially if they’re cooked. Limit your food intake which SHOULD be and ONLY be 4 times a day. Avoid sedentary life/night watching/junk foods.

I am 65 years old and having diabetes for the last 20 years. I take reclimet twice. My sugar level was fasting 120 and after meals about 180. The doctor has added galvus met twice daily. I am feeling weakness and losing weight also. Kindly suggest should I continue with galvas met or kindly suggest some other medicine.

Mr your sugar levels appear to be fairly good. The prescribed medicines are working well. But if you find difficulty with galvus met, you may try voglibose 0.3 mg along with each meal the brand is tab k - vog 0.3 mg I also want to know how active you are, because daily 1 h of exercise even brisk walking can help control blood sugar better.

Increase intake of liquids like water, juice, soup, lime water lemon soda etc. 4. Be sure to drink enough water each day. Usually 1 to 2 liters of water per day is adequate. 5. Drink more if you are perspiring heavily, working outdoors, the weather is hot, etc. 6. Increase the use of barley, horse gram (a type of bean), ginger, and brown rice or parboiled rice. 7. Avoid suppressing urges to urinate and defecate. 9. Boil 10-12 basil leaves in 1 cup of water for 15 minutes. Mix 1 teaspoon of honey in it and take twice a day. Pls send ur USG report becoz medication for stones depends upon size number and location of stones and can be given after USG.

If you are planning to continue the drug for next cycle, the gap should be only for 4 days (when you are taking it for 24 days). Otherwise the efficacy as contraception will decline. Usually mens takes place after 3-4 days of pil free period.

Yes you can do that by some modification in your diet & excercise. I am talking about healthy diet not dieting. You can lose your weight upto 5 kg by following a good diet plan & excercise or a healthy diet with right ratio of calories, protein & carb. You have to avoid such type of unhealthy food like fried, oily foods, fast & junk food, tea, coffee, sugary products & sugary drinks. You should take a healthy breakfast. If you want to lose your weight please don't skip it because it will help you to boost your metabolism, includes salad with lunch & dinner. Use 6 small meal pattern instead of 3 major meal.
