Consulted doctor but first suggested to do blood test for vitamin d3 as Igot less than 6, currently evion lc and jointace c2 tablet taking for another one month Is t curable after one month and can I know the reason for this pain? Thanks.

BHMS

Hi, cramp like pain is caused by exercise. But if you are suffring from pain with swelling and tenderness it may be another cause like (trauma, o. A, bursitis and of course vit d deficiency also caused knee pain. Becz it is a crucial nutrient for strong bone, and it help to regulate the immune system. So there are some way to maintain your vit d in balance. 1- stand in the morning sun light atleast 10-15 min. 2- take fish (good source of vit d). 3- take fortified food like cereals, milk, cheese, and soya product. 4- and last take proper medication.

1) there is no other way of reducing weight except by consuming less calories. 2) deep fried, processed foods, pickles, papads, pastries, biscuits, nuts, chocolates, ice creams, deserts should be completely avoided. 3) during business meetings go for plain rice with thin dals and lots of salads. 4) dinner should be taken as early as possible 5) simple sugars, nuts, dry fruits (except almonds and walnuts) should be restricted. 6) small frequent meals (containing high fibre, low fat, moderate to low carbohydrates, moderate proteins, normal vitamins and minerals) with regular exercise is beneficial. 7) begin your meal with a big bowl of salad or soups. 8) drink plenty of water. 9) do not skip meals 10) prefer roasted /grilled /steamed/boiled food items. 11) tea consumption should be reduced. Replace tea with organic green tea. Do not have tea along with any meal. 12) consumption of full cream milk will increase fat percentage so skimmed milk is a good option. Have 2 cups of ecovalley green tea daily.

Sir I am 22years old, last 7years am addicted in masturbation, now am too slim, also feeling tired sometimes, when I masturbate three to five drops of sperm only released. So help me to control and stop my masturbate and increase sperm for my child birth please.

MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
Hi, you have not mentioned how many times in a day or week you do masturbation. Volume of semen always become lee when you ejaculate frequently. Masturbation isn't only about sex, it's a routine way of relieving stress, clearing your head before work, or going to sleep. But off course too much of anything can be bad. It leads to anxiety and loss of control over body mechanics. Though it may be ok thrice in a week, too much of it affects the senses and sensibility of an individual. Suggestions for you to reduce frequency of masturbation: 1. Read good books, newspaper 2. Spend time with family members 3. Daily walk 30 minutes 4. Avoid porn 5. Avoid spending times with not so good friends and alone.

Is there such a thing as too much fruit? If yes, how much and how does it affect our health? Is consuming fruit for breakfast good for a normal person's our body? What about for a diabetic? Thanks!

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology
Endocrinologist, Hubli-Dharwad
Mr. Lybrate-user, if a person is not having diabetes, then consuming a good quantity fruits is welcome. There is no restriction. All fruits are good. But for a person with diabetes fruits like mango, banana, chikkoo and grapes are not good as they are too sweet. Other fruits like papaya, pomegranate, apple, pear, guava, orange, sweet lime and water melon are permitted. However, a daily intake of about 100 g is recommended that too with good blood sugar control. Excess fruits in diabetes are not advisable. Thanks for the question.

What is diabetic retinopathy, I am getting some different sensation on my left foot, this occurs after sitting on the floor and or after getting up from a chair. Is there is any exercise to minimize this effect or natural/Ayurveda remedies.

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology
Endocrinologist, Hubli-Dharwad
Mr. lybrate-user, Diabetic retinopathy is one of the fairly often seen long term complication of diabetes mellitus. In this microvasculature of retina (small blood vessels supplying the retina) are affected due to excess glucose in the blood. These vessels get blocked, casing hypoxia (lack of oxygen) to retina due to this there will be new blood vessels formed on the retina. These vessels are fragile, they break causing bleeding in front of retina and behind vitreous. This can lead to blindness. Plus those vessels shrivel and pull the retina from its hold causing retinal detachment which also causes blindness. Strict blood glucose control and timely treatment is helpful. Diabetes also affects peripheral nerves, which can result in altered sensation in the feet like tingling, numbness and even burning sensation. Therefore, it is essential to achieve a strict blood glucose control. Thanks.

Sir at what time should we have to take dinner and if I want to dance so before it will be better or after the dinner tell the reason also sir.

PGDD, RD, Bachelor of Home Science
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
Hye. Thankyou for the query. Ideally you must take dinner about two hours before bedtime. If dinner is regularly a late meal, see that it is a light meal. Any activity like dance should be undertaken 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours after a main meal. If you are practicing before or after 2 hours of dinner, pay attention to a post practice snack like dairy, fruits or nuts. If practice is before dinnertime then dinner can be your post workout meal within half to an hour.
