I start happening white hair in very young age what the reason behind that and how can I stop it?
Causes for Premature Grey Hair • Graying or whitening of hair earlier than expected usually runs in the family. • Long periods under stress due to work intensity and tension. • A serious disease like typhoid can also act as the catalyst for graying of hair. • Intake of too much of alcohol, tea and coffee can cause graying of hair as well. • Eating too many oily and fried foods is another reason for graying of hair. • Using excessive amount of spices in your food. • Integrating too many food items that are sour and acidic in your diet. • Not having essential nutrients like copper in your food can also cause grey hair as melanin’s production gets hit due to the deficiency. • Lack of Vitamin C and Vitamin B in your diet. Homoeopathic treatment REPL No.49 ( R.E.P.L.)Drink 10 drops in 20 ml fresh water 3 times daily LYCOPODIUM 30 ( Dr.Reckeweg) 5 drop direct on tongue daily at night A-1 Black oil ( Wellmans lab) Apply twice weekly at night, leave overnight nd wash in morning A-1 Black shampoo ( Wellman lab) for wasshing hairs ANTOXID-hc ( Dr.Reddy) 1 cap daily>this you can buy from allopathic drug store Drink lots of water daily Take nutritious diet esp rich in Vit-C Avoid,Junk,Fried and oily food, cold drinks Exercise regularily NOTE- Knowledge of Management part will be given only after knowing the reason for your white hairs.Consult me with all the details regarding your white hairs.

I am a very slim boy, I am 25 years old but look like 17, please give me some advice on how to get healthy?
Our weight should be proportionate to our height. For every given height there is a normal weight range. You must do several things correctly to gain weight. A healthy diet: this is the foundation of gaining weight. If you don't do this right, the other things you do won't be effective and could even be harmful. Follow the following tips:- · Pay attention to your health and food intake. · To increase your appetite, have a glass of lime water or 1 cardamom (elaichi) before your meal. · Have minimum 4 meals in a day. · Drink 1 glass of milk twice a day. · Try to enjoy your meals and gradually increase the quantity you eat every time. · A balance diet should have all essential nutrients in it. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It should include combination of Both Carbohydrates and Proteins for e.g. Oats with Milk or Poha/ Upma with a glass of milk. If you do not like milk have 1-2 egg whites in the morning along with your breakfast. · You need to focus on your protein intake : Increase your protein intake e.g. milk, dairy products- cheese, paneer, lentils (dals), nuts ( soya, peanuts, dry fruits ), pulses e.g. rajma, chole, kidney beans etc. sprouts. If you are a non-vegetarian, then you can have proteins by also eating eggs, chicken, fish. Make sure you are including at least 2 serving of any of these in your daily meal. · Lunch and dinner again should be a combination of Proteins, Carbohydrates and Fats which could have dal, roti, sabji/chicken, salad. · Please do have minimum 4 almonds or a small bowl of peanuts every day. · Please ensure that you drink at least 3 litres of water every day.

Dear user. I can understand. LEUCORRHOEA translates in modern medicine as a whitish or yellowish discharge of mucus from the vagina. Some of the most common causes of white vaginal discharge include: 1)Infections from bacteria, fungi or other parasites. 2). Injuries or trauma to the vagina, the womb or the cervix, which is very common during pregnancy. 3). Lack of cleanliness or poor hygienic measures. Discharge related with leucorrhoea (or other STDs like yeast infection, chlamydia and trichomoniasis) are generally foamy, greenish-white, foul-smelling and infectious. A proper diagnosis using vaginal swab is very important to diagnose the exact infection, before treatment can ensue. Please consult a gynecologist for clarification and then treatment. Take care.

Whatever food I eat, I am not digested, and hunger does not seem like anymore, seeing the food, my mind gets stabbed.

MD - Homeopathy, BHMS
Homeopath, Pune
Whatever food I eat, I am not digested, and hunger does not seem like anymore, seeing the food, my mind gets stabbed.
Choose your favorite foods. Eating more is easier when you eat foods that you actually enjoy. Put some time and preparation into buying and planning out meals and snacks that you like, that way you should never end up not eating just because there's nothing in the house that appeals to you. Avoid off-putting odors. Foods that have particularly strong smells can be overpowering and may turn you off eating a dish completely, especially if you weren't particularly hungry to begin with. Avoid foods like tuna or stinky cheese (unless you happen to love them) or anything which has a smell that doesn't appeal to you. Remember that hot food usually has more of an aroma than cold food, so try eating more sandwiches, salads or cold cuts of meat if smells are not your thing. Use herbs and spices in cooking. On the other hand, foods that have a very pleasant or fragrant smell can be very appealing and might be just the thing to get your tummy rumbling. Try adding herbs or spices to your favorite foods to create wonderful aromas and add interest to food. You'll no longer be put off by bland and boring foods. Eat less fiber. Fiber, a nutrient found in fruits, vegetables and whole grain foods, is an essential component of any healthy diet. However, fiber-rich foods can be extremely filling, so it may be best to eat such foods only in moderation when trying to increase your appetite. It takes longer for your body to process fiber-rich foods than other types of food, which is why it's great for people who are trying to eat less while still having plenty of energy throughout the day. But if you're trying to increase your appetite, cutting back on high fiber foods such as brown rice or pasta and wholewheat cereals can help you to feel more hungry. This should only be used as a short-term solution, however, as fiber is essential for healthy and normal body function Make meal times pleasant. Eating can be a much more enjoyable experience when you put some effort into creating a pleasant atmosphere at meal times. Light some candles, put some music on, or watch your favorite TV show while eating. Also try to avoid stressful topics of conversation at the table, especially if your poor appetite is a symptom of anxiety. Exercise. Doing some light exercise can really help to stimulate your appetite. Your body is designed to crave more energy from food after burning calories, so you'll always feel hungrier after exercising. You don't need to put in a strenuous work-out at the gym for this to work, even a brisk walk outside in the fresh air half an hour before a meal can help to stimulate appetite. If you are underweight, you should avoid any form of strenuous exercise because even though you will be hungrier after working out, the food you eat will only balance out the calories you burned while exercising, which is no good if you are trying to gain weight. Leave the strenuous exercise until your appetite has improved and weight has increased. Drink enough liquids. You should aim to drink between 6 and 8 glasses of water or water-based drinks a day. Drinking a glass of water an hour before and an hour after a meal can help with digestion and ensure that there is not too much food in the stomach at any given time. However, you should avoid drinking too much water directly before or during a meal, as this can decrease your appetite and give you a false sense of fullness. FOR MEDICATION CONSULT ONLINE IN PRIVATE

PCOD Drilling With Laparoscopy!

MD, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Ahmedabad
PCOD Drilling With Laparoscopy!

Patient present to us with Obesity, hirsuitism, irregular/delayed cycles, anovulation & Infertility. TVUSG shows peripherally placed multiple follicles with hyperthicosis of stroma & large ovaries. PCOD drilling is indicated in Clomiphen resistant PCOD, where weight reduction & metformin had been tried sufficiently (for six months) in the past. In the past, wedge resection by Laparotomy was routine practice for fertility enhancement. Today laparoscopic PCOD drilling has become very popular fertility enhancing surgery. As compared to Gonadotrophin (pure FSH) injections i.e. ART with super ovulation, PCOD drilling had following advantages: 60-70% Ovulation rate, 40-50% Pregnancy rate, reduced abortion & OHSS following drilling, reduced requirement of CC.HMG/FSH/hCG following drilling. Effect of drilling lasts for nine months. According to the size of ovary 4 to 8 punctures should be made on both ovaries.

Benefits of Laparoscopy Surgery:

  1. Shorter Hospital stay.
  2. Earlier return to your routine work.
  3. Cosmetically vary small scar.
  4. Less pain after operation.
  5. Best fertility enhancement & Fertility results following Laparoscopy.
  6. Video-live operative file available in CD/DVD for future reference (Transparency about surgical procedure).
  7. The possibility of post-operative adhesion formation will be less, and the possibility of pain because of post-operative adhesions will also be less.

Pre-operative Check Lists:

  1. Lab. Investigation for Surgery (Urine complete & Blood complete, HbsAg, HIV, R.B.S.etc.); Pelvic Trance vaginal USG report. S.FSH, S.L.H. & S.TSH.
  2. Specific Investigations for Infertility (Endocrine, Blood, Genetic, Husband’s Semen report etc. If the couple is infertile.)
  3. Operation planned from 4th to 10th day of Menstrual Cycle
  4. Enema & preparation/shaving of local parts.

No. Of Cuts on Abdomen:
Three cuts: One of 5 mm and second & third of 3 mm size.

Average Stay in Hospital:
4 to 6 hours. (DAY CARE SURGERY)

Average Duration of Surgery:
10 to 20 minutes

Average Blood loss during Surgery:
10-30 cc.

Average time after operation to resume normal activities/work:
Within 24 hours.

Anesthesia:
General Anesthesia (Patient will not feel any pain in Operation Theatre during surgery)

Operative Procedure:

Inside the Umbilicus small needle is introduced and Co2 gas is insufflated inside abdomen. Rather than creating a large incision and opening up the body, tiny incisions are made and a laparoscope is inserted. This slim scope has a lighted end. It takes pictures – actually fiber optic images - and sends them to a monitor so the surgeon can see what is going on inside.

Performing Laparoscopy usually only requires three tiny incisions less than one half inch, (about 5-10 millimeters) in length. One incision is made inside sthe navel, and another two are usually made near the bikini line. The first incision allows a needle to be injected into the abdomen so carbon dioxide gas can be pumped inside the cavity of the abdomen, which helps to keep intestines & omentum up and away from organs. This allows the surgeon a better view and more working space to maneuver the laparoscope and surgical tools as needed.

Cystic Ovary is lifted with suction irrigation cannula from one port and High frequency needle is used to puncture the ovarian surface perpendicularly from opposite side port. No. Of punctures are decided on the base of the size of enlarged ovaries. Haemostasis is checked & Ringer lactate poured over ovaries after Drilling.

Post-operative Course:

Patient remains drowsy/sedated for 2-3 hours after laparoscopy but conscious & pain free. Patient can take fluids 3-4 hors after laparoscopy & light food after 4-6 hours. She may feel little abdominal & shoulder pain after laparoscopy for 24 hours but it cam be relived with pain killer tabs.

Most of the patients can walk normally without support and can take normal diet 6-8 hours after the laparoscopy. She can be discharged on the same day of the operation. Few patients may feel nausea & vomiting after laparoscopy, which can be very well controlled with injection in post-operative room. Patient can do her normal activity within 24 hours after laparoscopy.

Patient is advised to take antibiotics & analgesic tabs. for 5 days following laparoscopy. Patient is advised to report to doctor for severe pain or bleeding or fever in postoperative period (Day-1 to Day-5) immediately. Patient is advised to come for follow up 7 days after the Laparoscopy for dressing.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!
