Please don't use any creams or lotions. It suppress the sebum secretion and block the pores which leads to bacterial contamination and results in more pimples. The other causes of pimples are hormonal imbalance, dandruff, diet rich in oil and non veg, poor hygiene etc. Treating acne in the right way at the earliest will remove pimples without any scarring and gives a long lasting results. But acne patients are more concern about the pimples and try all creams and soaps available in markets which creates much worse their condition. There are very good homoeopathic medicines for pimples which gives rapid and permanent results without any side effects. Along with the medicines there are some specific food which should be avoided for the effectiveness of treatment. You should take plenty of vegetables and fruits. Drink 3-4 litres of water. Homoeopathic cream topi berberis (wilmar schwabe) daily night apply. Internal medicines are better than external application.

Relieve stress by changing the interpretation

Stress is the reaction of the body or the mind to the interpretation of a known situation. Stress management, therefore, involves either changing the situation, changing the interpretation or taming the body the yogic way in such a way that stress does not affect the body.

Every situation has two sides. Change of interpretation means looking at the other side of the situation. It is something like half glass of water, which can be interpreted as half empty or half full.

Studies have shown that anger, hostility and aggression are the new risk factors for heart disease. Even recall of anger has been reported to precipitate a heart attack.

Many studies have shown that when doctors talk positive in front of unconscious patients in ICU, their outcome is better than those in whose presence if doctors talk negative.

The best way to practice spiritual medicine is to experience silence in the thoughts, speech and action. Simply walking in the nature with silence in the mind and experiencing the sounds of nature can be as effective as 20 minutes of meditation. He said that 20 minutes of meditation provides the same physiological parameters as that of seven hours of deep sleep.

Hi doctor, I don't feel like talking to anyone and even hate being indulged in any activity I find everyone fake and manipulative. Please advise.

Meet a homoeopathic consultant or a psychologist and discuss in full depth that how did your problem start. Without knowing the real cause treatment would not be adequate. But let me tell you one thing you will be out of it for sure. Take care

It is a statistically proven fact that smokers and other tobacco users are more likely to develop disease, suffer miserably later in life and die earlier than are people who dont use tobacco. I have experience in successfully making people quit smoking through a customized smoking cessation program which includes counseling medications and support do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

I am suffering from puberphonia from last 12 years. I can't control my voice for longer time. And I have to give lot of pressure while speaking. How can I cure it?

MD PHYSICIAN
General Physician, Delhi
Puberphonia is a rare disorder in which adolescent males undergo voice changes to a much lower pitch due to a sudden increase in the length and thickness of the vocal folds. The muscles directly alongside the larynx become too tight, which causes the patient to constantly speak in high sound. Causes Emotional stress, Delayed development of secondary sexual characteristics Psychogenic etc. The treatment include voice therapy by speech language pathologist including :Cough, Speech range masking, Glottal attack before a vowel, Relaxation techniques to relax the laryngeal musculature, Lowering of larynx to appropriate position. Larynx manipulation: Surgery,Type III phonosurgery can be done, which includes surgical shortening and relaxation of the vocal cords. You can consult a ENT specialist for the same.

Hi, I am a 60 years old male, single by choice, reasonably well settled with an adopted foster son and his wife living with me. Both of them working. I am retired. Except for the practical financial arrangements nothing ie well. With different mind sets and exposures, there is frequent arguments and conflicts at home. Fed up by all this, the only option I have is to live alone, which I don't want to, considering the hazards of living alone as a senior citizen in Delhi. I become indignant and there are angry outbursts. A " no exit" situation ensues and I have to fret, fume and boil which everyone is getting used to, having there own ways thus I am left with a " helpless" feeling. Please advise, Thanks.

Considering, that through out your life, you have been independent. You can always choose to do it in future too. You have been kind enough to shelter them in your house. Try explaining them your views and if it doesn't work remember you are always in charge of your decision. For the time being try anger management skills so that it doesn't have adverse effect on your health.

I seriously want to study but I cannot leave Social Sites like Facebook, etc. My Parents are always good to me. I have perfect attention from my family. But then too I can't study because of Internet? Is there anyway out there?

Dear lybrate-user, the issue you are facing is very common now a day, with all of us. You must use a lot of will power to over come the temptation to go on internet. The will power is a muscle so you need to train it like you do with all your other muscles. You should start with easy goals like stay away from internet for few hours and thn slowly slowly you will increase the time. It will take time but it will work. All the best. Keep me updated.
