For e. G. I'm loosing my hair quickly and I've tried all shampoos, but nothing happened, what can I do?

Dear lybrate-user, start taking black til (seasam) with a glass of lukewarm milk early morning. Avoid pickles, spices, oily, greesy food items, too much of salt in food shud be avoided. Start avle ka murabba daily. Also have a high protien rich diet e. G. Pulses, dry fruits, black gram, ground nut etc, white of egg (if you eat egg). Also oil your hair with good herbal oil and wash with herbal shamppoo - avoid shampoos with high acid contents. As far as ayurveda's therapy is concerned - start with shirodhara with herbal oil and nasyam therapy for atleast 15 days. This will greatly help. Do gentle massage with herbal hair oil daily night for 15 minutes. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking.

I want to lose my weight because my weight is too much that is 75-80 kgs so what to do.

Hi, do some physical activity daily like running, swimming, yoga, push-ups, chin-ups, weight lifting, dancing, brisk walking depending upon your choice. Then follow a strict diet chart which includes fresh fruits, vegetables, salad. Drink plenty of water, lemon juice and green tea. Avoid oily and fatty foods. Avoid rice, potato, maize. Decrease sugar and salt intake as much as possible.

Hii doctors. Why do we suffer from loose motions ? For me it has become normal to get to two three times in a month .it starts suddenly please help me .Is there any bacteria in my stomach?

Dear, Causes of loose motion are : * due to eating contaminated food * drinking infected water and also due to unhygienic hands . * due to weak digestion power or metabolism To get rid from this problem : • Take one teaspoon of ajwain seeds (carom )and 1/2 teaspoon of jeera grind it and make powder of it add 1/3 rd of teaspoon of this in your food you eat . •To make your digestion good take 5 gm (1 teaspoon) of jeera (cumin ), 5 gm (1 teaspoon) of dry corriander seeds (dhaniya) , 5 gm (1 teaspoon) of ajwain (carom seeds ) and add some leaves of mint in glass of water and boil it till the water become half in pan. Drink it daily once in a day. * Avoid to drink water from outside when you travel. Also avoid to eat street food like pani puri and fruit chat . * Clean your hands before eating food . • Take pudina (mint) and coriander leaves grind it and eat one teaspoon of it daily 2 times in a day . You can make chutney of it . Mint and corriander has enzymes that improve your digestion .

I am not using any oil on my hair due to fear of getting head-ache because of walking under sunlight. Earlier used to wear a cap but it is getting in-convenient sometimes. I have dandruff problem. Kindly help me to get rid of this problem. I am 58 and my hair is partially grey.

Oil has to be applied at night and then in morning you should wash your scalp. Oil should not be kept more than 24 hours on the scalp. Drink 3 lit of water/day. Eat food which is rich in minerals, protein and iron. Consult trichologist.

Few day I have pain in my head an I feel weakness an also my eye are also pain. Can you tell what happen with me.

A young male of age 19 Years having headache is amazing. Try to find out the cause and remove it e.g. Irregular imbalanced diet and sleep habits, any stressful and mentally disturbing worries and /or any addiction must be eliminated. Try regular light exercises. Still if you insist some medications can be prescribed. But in my opinion if it is cluster headache or tension headache, you must consult and have a good counseling session with a physician. Regards.

I'm having severe pain in my lower back, on the right side. Initially it seemed like a cramp but it seems now like an inflammation of some internal organ. It is very painful while walking. Please suggest what should I do, as I want to take an appropriate pain killer or anti inflammation tablet.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Ist ques: how many grams of protein carbohydrates fats & vitamins should healthy human body consume per day 2nd ques: is it necessary for d pure vegetarians to add amino acids supplements in order to get enough proteins in d body. I am having a mild and constant pain in medial compartment​ of thigh (groin) from more than 4 days .It gets worsen during early morning time. I am having frequent urinations and it comes with slightly yellowish pink. Note 1.I already affected with epididymitis orchitis 1 year before. 2.i got urinary infection 7 months before. What is the cause for this. I'm again and again getting problems on my testicles and urinary track. I have scanned my testicles ,the scan shows the functions are normal. I am so much worried about my body.

Do Panic Attacks Really Come Out of the Blue

Panic attacks can debilitate a person greatly. The panic or anxiety attacks can be extremely powerful and intense, whereby a person starts hallucinating. The level of hallucination can vary depending on the severity of the attack. Such people often hallucinate about something bad or catastrophic striking them.  They lose self composure. In extreme cases, they cut themselves off from the outside world and recoil into their safe zone (Agoraphobia).

Panic attacks, should, by no means, be confused with depression. These attacks can be essentially divided into three phases; the start phase, it then reaches the pinnacle or the zenith, before sliding down (fades away). The duration of a panic attack can vary from long to very long periods. The whole experience can leave a person depressed, traumatized and drained out (physically and emotionally). A timely medical assistance can prove to be extremely fruitful.
Panic attacks- its causative, signs and symptoms

 A panic attack, can, indeed, come out of the blue (unexpectedly). Extreme emotional turmoil or anxiety can trigger such an attack. An over excited nervous system might turn out to be the wrecker in chief, throwing life in jeopardy. A person might be unprepared to deal with such a situation. Though extremely difficult, the best thing would be to try and relax. The attack is just an extreme state of mind, an abstract feeling that can never come true. It will pass off soon. Panicking will only pile onto your agony. Identifying the associated symptoms can prove to be effective. 

Some of the important symptoms associated with pain attacks include:

  • A feeling of breathlessness, suffocation and dizziness.
  • The palms appear to be sweaty.
  • A person may complain of uneasiness or chest pain. 
  • Increased palpitations are quite common during panic attacks.
  • A person might experience severe chills or heat flushes. 
  • Twitching and trembling of the muscles are often observed during the attacks.
  • An intense fear of death or going insane grips the person completely.
  • Hands, legs, arms begin to tingle.
  • During anxiety attacks, a person loses the reasoning ability.

Few short term behavioural therapies can be of great help. Meditation, yoga and certain breathing practices can effectively ward off physical and mental fatigue.  CBT or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a popular technique used to deal with panic attacks. This technique primarily emphasises on the present conditions and factors resulting in panic and ways to minimise or completely eliminate the attacks.

Dear doctor I am having irregular periods and menstrual cycle problems. Last time I had my periods for 3 weeks with heavy bleeding every day. In between it didn't bleed for two or three days.
