Dear Doctor my self Mukesh Dubey, When I sit or stand for some time I feel back pain, why? Please suggest and advice ...
Back pain after sitting or standing can be due to 1. Intervertebral disc bulge or prolapse 2. Muscle strain from improper posture. Follow these to get relief. 1. Take anti inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen round the clock for pain relief for 7 days. 2.Take rest for 3 days but avoid total bed rest. 4. Do back strengthening and stretching exercises daily once pain is relieved. 7.Apply analgesic cream over back followed by warm fomentation. 6. Keep pillow behind your knees at bedtime. While sleeping on sides keep pillow between knees. 7. Do not bend and lift weights. 8. If back pain is accompanied with radiating leg pain or tingling, numbness or weakness, consult immediately. 9. For definite diagnosis you may need MRI Lumbo sacral spine in future. For further queries consult again.

This is cervical pain (neck pain) and that's the reason the pain radiates until the shoulder blades. If you keep ice that would help and along side you can do hot water fermentation. You shall use cervical collar which would help you to reduce the radiating pain ie. Due to the nerve compression. Cervical spondylosis – chronic condition with radiating pain As your rightly said you have to go for traction and also you can do IFT. Please consult the near by therapist for quick relief. Since you have pain for more than 10 years it is suggestible to go for cervical muscle strengthening exercise. Use collar will definitely be helpful for him to maintain the good posture. And also cervical pillow can be used which might make you to have better posture of the shoulder neck and arm. You need to improve the tone of the muscles in a rhythmical manner. If you do that with proper diet restriction nothing will happen to you. Body pain is there after gym activity due to tiredness and you need to consume good protein and iron diet in your body which will help you to break the fatigue and body pain. You have to reduce the weight by walking minimum 3-4 kms per day. Slowly reduce the weight and slowly avoid adding salt in the diet which will help you to prevent water retention in the body. Excess salt in general leads to water in the body which might be the reason for you legs to pain as the leg will automatically become oedematous.
