Dear user. Washing penis after masturbation is never harmful to your penis. This is a myth. Don't believe in that. I suggest sex counseling. Take care.

- use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water or hydrogen peroxide to keep the area clean. Avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth. - stay away from smoking and other tobacco products, which can aggravate bleeding gums. - eat a balanced diet and limit snacking between meals. Carbohydrates and sugars feed dental plaque. - try an oral irrigation device, commonly known as a" water pick, to clear debris from around the gum line. - you may need deep cleaning along with surgical curettage or gum strengthening procedure. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser.

Hello sir/madam, I have been suffering from anorexia since a month and still there is no improvement even I tried to ...
Hi, I can understand your concern. You can get healthy on your own, it does work. You just have to want it. And really fight for it. And of course when your trying to recover on your own, its not as easy. When your at hospital and have proffessional help. Its easier. You have a meal plan, you have people watching you, making sure you eat. Do not exercise. They make sure you gain weight. They help you recover. While your trying to recover on your own, the most important thing is that you have support. That is very important. Its almost impossible, if you have no one you can talk to, no one who will be there beside you when things are hard. Or someone to remind you thatrecovery is worth it. Someone to make you smile. Whether thats your mum, best friend, boyfriend. Etc etc (but I do not know, when your sick its so easy to lose contact with people. And if you have lost contact. Its just to take contact with people again, and let them know your trying to recover and hope that they can help you, support you.) recovery is not easy, its a mental battle everyday. And facing your body is not easy while in recovery. Ok. The best thing to do is start off small. 3 meals a day, and then add on snacks. So you have 5-6 meals a day. That is the best thing. Its good for the metabolism anyway. Its just healthy to eat 5-6 meals a day. And when your eating 5-6 meals a day aim for 2500-3000 calories. Thats what you need to gain weight. But start off with roughly 1000-1200 calories, and then raise it. Really, calories should not be counted. But when your making a meal plan, then I guess you should know how mcuh your eating. Find foods that you like. It makes eating easier. So. I guess thats up to you to decide what you like and want to eat. But I suggest to eat full fat foods. It makes gaining weight easier. And that is what is needed in recovery. Do not forget that my best tips in recovery, are to hide the mirrors. Trust me, it does not help. Just have a small one so you can do your make up, brush your teeth, see your face. But hide the llong mirrors. Get rid of the scale. The number on the scale does not define you. Ok. So if your recoverying on your own. Yeah, it might be good to see if your gaining weight or losing weight, but decide a day. Like monday morning, once a week you check. And thats it. Hide the scale. And do not step on it unless its monday morning. You have to be tough with yourself. You have to be your own guard. And do not listen to the voice in your head. There will be bad days. Days when you just want to give up because you feel fat, or eveyrthing is hard. And thats normal, thats part of recovery. Thats the hard times. Thats when you need to be 10 times stronger, and just eat anyway. I also suggest to make food dates - i. E. Plan to have brunch with a friend, or go for lunch with someone. Go to dinner, or invite someone for dinner. Go out for frozen yoghurt etc etc. In the end you need to challenge yourself, and it also makes sure that you eat. It makes it easier if your with someone when your eating. You should consult a professional. You can consult with me for counselin and therapy regarding this. All the best.

Can Lifestyle Changes Help Prevent Prostate Cancer?

Can Lifestyle Changes Help Prevent Prostate Cancer?

One of the most significant glands in the male reproductive system is the prostate gland, which is responsible for carrying urine from the bladder. It is located right under the bladder and helps in production of semen which contains sperm.

Prostate cancer is a slow growing form of cancer that is rarely seen in men below the age of 50. It may occur due to both, genetic and environmental factors. Here is a list of measures that can help in preventing this ailment.

  1. Food Intake and Weight: Apart from age, the major factor that contributes to the risk of prostate cancer includes food and weight. Doctors suggest that bringing down your intake of calcium and fat that comes from red meat and excess dairy can help in preventing the onset of this ailment. The calcium intake should not go beyond 1,500 mg per day, which is why doctors will usually ask you not to have supplements. Cooked tomatoes with olive oil as well as cruciferous vegetables including broccoli and cauliflower should be included as a vital part of one's diet, while fish should be taken regularly as it is a source of healthy or good fat like Omega-3 fatty acids. In general, you should have fewer calories which should be matched up with ample exercise so that a healthy weight and balance is maintained.

  2. Stress and Blood Pressure: Stress and anxiety are also major reasons that contribute to the onset of this disease. One will need to see a doctor about high blood pressure, especially the kind that is triggered by stress and causes hypertension. Also, you must control your cholesterol and stay out of depression to ensure that your risk of developing prostate cancer reduces. Also, having these conditions along with prostate cancer makes the survival chances that much lower. So, you must get the right medication and treatment for these conditions as well.

  3. Lifestyle: One will need to quit smoking, that can cause a number of ailments including prostate cancer. Also, drinking alcohol in moderation is required in order to have a healthier lifestyle and cut the chances of developing such ailments.

  4. Screening: While your diet and other aspects may be right, there is still a great chance of developing prostate cancer, especially if anyone in your family has been afflicted with this condition in the past. Therefore, it is recommended to get an annual screening done so that you eliminate the chances of finding it out late, and can check the growth of any anomalies as soon as they take place. Getting regular checks ups done and getting diagnosed for the problem when the earliest symptoms begin to show are both crucial for prostate cancer. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Urologist.

Chewing Gum Is Marvellous for Your Brain

Chewing Gum Is Marvellous for Your Brain

Though we may think of chewing gum as something that is a recent thing for mankind, it is not so. Chewing gum or bark or chicle has been around for centuries now. Even the ancient civilizations like Aztec talk about chewing gums. With a lot of curiosity, studies were conducted to see what other effects chewing gums have.

As early as in 1939, Leta Hollingsworth did some detailed studies and came up with linkages between chewing gum and cognitive functions.

Over the subsequent years, though more detailed understanding of the chewing process and neural pathway is established, more correlation has been established. It has been shown to have benefits on memory, alertness, anxiety, improved learning and memory and hunger management.

What sort of a gum are you chewing, that also decides the effect it has. The texture, the flavor, and the density are some of the parameters that needs to be considered. The most common explanation is that chewing gum improves blood flow to the brain and therefore has these beneficial effects.

Chewing a gum induces what is known as mastication induced arousal. Mastication or chewing in layman terms, of the gum induces production of certain chemicals in the brain and also gives a form of physical exercise that promotes blood flow and thereby, improves performance. What is also interesting is that studies showed improved performance if gum is chewed before the test, but had no significant result if chewed during the test.

Chewing gum is also shown to reduce cortisol levels and that explains why anxiety is better managed by people who constantly chew gum. In addition, for people with depression too, this simple, easily available gum may be the best method of treatment. It has been shown to stimulate the ventral part of the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for causing depression.

In the workplace, it is not uncommon to see chew gums in the midst of meetings to improve their focus. Studies have actually shown a relation between chewing gum and improved focus, productivity, efficiency, and improved professionalism. When a survey was conducted at the end of the day, gum chewers reported higher levels of happiness being at the job and reduced fatigue and stress.

As a next level of confirmation, studies have been done where EEG and MRI scans have been done to establish the relationship between chewing gum and improved brain function. This needs some more corroboration, which will happen in the coming years, but the benefits of chewing a gum are for sure. Further, in order to prevent yourself from various ailments it is advisable to get your complete body check up done.

It is important to understand that height is a genetic feature and so one cannot expect much even with any medication. It is better to help the body reach its maximum growth potential by eating a balanced diet ( include all types of seasonal fruits and vegetables everyday ). Start exercising everyday so that the growth hormone and other hormones are secreted in a natural way. Yoga and pranayam can also be very helpful. If at all you want to take medical treatment then be properly advised by a qualified doctor.

I have my friend addicted to drugs since last 6 months, spasm, how should he overcome with this! Please help.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
This is the advice I give to someone who is addicted to drugs themselves. You may advice him based on this feedback. Please meet with a counselor and a doctor and let them assess whether you need to be admitted to a rehabilitation center of not and then you can follow their guidance. Attempting it as an out-patient candidate is near impossible to succeed. So instead of wasting time, opportunity, and getting discouraged by failure I suggest that you can straight away go for rehabilitation, after you talk to the professionals of course. You will be administered medicines there too but the center will be geared to help you over a 6 month period to address all the issues and to follow the 12-step method in your recovery. Ultimately, it is your will power and the support that you receive from the medical fraternity and your close and dear ones. You must also learn to substitute and deal with the oral need, a rigid value system, the script issue, and of course take a look at all the genetic factors to plan a strategy not to get into what is called ‘cross addictions’ i.e. another form of addiction that may appear alright but is in fact as bad as the primary addiction. The center or hospital and the counselor will advise and guide you on several measures and precautions you will need to take to stay with your resolve. Even after the rehabilitation you must attend NA meetings and continue this support for a long time. The family will also need to attend some sessions and go for Al-anon-type meetings for their co-dependency issues. You cannot be treated in isolation because the family has gotten used to your abuse in particular and have made some unhealthy adaptations to somehow cope. Make a serious plan with whoever else’s support you can get and act on it fast. If you are not cooperative, there are some centers that will come and pick you up, after you are completely stoned, and admit you by force. This will however, require the family’s consent. Do not delay for any reason and stop fooling around with half decisions.
